We went from spending about £300 per month on the SAAB 9-5 Aero to £150 ish on the Focus ST2 TDCI. First time I have had a diesel and although its a dam sight slower its quite nice to fill up less often.

I work that out to require an average mpg of almost 72. Doesn't sound overly PH. What sort of car is it that you can average that with? Assume you must never put your foot down either.
I've prob been slightly optimistic then, its a Dacia Sandero 1.5 Dci and it gets around the mark 60MPG regardless of what I do.

Nothing I have had a short term hire car through work for the last 5 months and claim all the fuel back I put in on expenses without a mileage form so happy days!

Would stick about £10 a week in my MINI when but it's off the road and my A4 has sat on the drive for 4/5 months unused so not required a fill either.

Was about £200 but I realised I was paying for my eldests petrol and he has a job so its up to him, did alternate tanks for a bit and then thought, sod that, nobody ever paid for my petrol !

I put one tank in the 350Z, about £80 usually and the wife usually fills hers up twice at about £40 odd a time. I don't know why I ended up paying for every tank of fuel ? could have had a 911 Turbo by now if I hadnt !

Approximately £100 a month in diesel for the Audi; roughly 2 tanks. That gets me around 1000 miles worth.

Same again for the bike, but 4/5 tanks. The bike gets super unleaded though and I probably do 4-500 miles on that.

I do roughly 15-20,000 miles a year in my X3 and then 5-10,000 miles a year in my other car, currently a 2.0T Audi S-Line.
The X3 gets around 43mpg, the 2.0T around 36mpg.

So I am putting around £300-350 in a month.

Depends on how much I fancy using the Grand Cherokee versus the Eunos Roadster, which is usually dictated by the weather.

Less than £50. I typically get 1-2 months from a single tank of diesel.

The Mrs puts about 300-350 through the tank of the RS6 in the UK.

I put about 20 quid through the tank of the Avalanche in Saudi doing the same mileage.

So on average we are doing OK.

Mine would be a lot less (£200 per month) if I didn't have a ZT V8...it's averaged out by a 125cc scooter which does 120mpg, so meh biggrin

This thread made me work it out.

Average is £82.96 per month (average miles is 478.25 a month). So 17p per mile. So somewhere around 32mpg, out of a 1.1 turbo.
