I've taken on board the point you think I wasn't comparing apples to apples.MuscleSaloon said:
Where can you buy a new WRX in the UK ?
I've no idea, I'm a bit old for both of those cars now. Are you indicating you can't buy a new WRX over here? Why is that?MuscleSaloon said:
It had become so unpopular that there are still some new ones lying around today.
Now that would be an interesting thread in its own right - cars registered after they ceased production.Edit: It appears there is already such a thread. https://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?h=0&...

Subaru dropped the WRX in the UK years ago and the STi about a year ago. It had become so unpopular that there are still some new ones lying around today.
Auto Express says this about the STi: "The decision to bring the WRX STi era to an end after 23 years is a result of increased investment by Subaru into the production of electric vehicles and further improving its EyeSight autonomous driver assist technology. They plan on introducing an EV by 2021, while EyeSight becomes increasingly available across the rest of the Subaru range." As far as the WRX is concerned all I found was that it was unpopular in America as hatchbacks are hugely preferred, in this sector Ford has the market almost to itself so it's logical Subaru concentrate there, but they just don't seem that bothered. I imagine the brass at Subaru central have some kind of plan... .Gassing Station | General Gassing | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
