Are there such things?
I've been considering a s/h daily runabout but don't want to feel like I'm in a utility vehicle. I suppose Mini is the obvious answer but I don't like em that much tbh.

Its an age old question and the answer is no.

Small generally limits packaging options but its more down to what the market will pay and margins to be made that limits manufacturers desire to make such things.

I suppose the nearest you might get to it is a heavily optioned Audi A1.

Edited to add I just configured a 1.4 A1 to £30k without ticking all of the options eek

Someone ticked a lot of options on my Audi S1, and it's a very nice place to be.

The old MINI Goodwood looks quite nice.

I guess this will depend how you define luxury. Modern small cars can certainly be well specced, so I have no idea how you think they would be like a utility vehicle. In fact even things like vans can be well specced these days.

If it's luxury in a small package, then maybe it's worth looking at some older cars. Obviously they won't have latest in terms of funky gadgets, but that doesn't mean they aren't luxury.

A tidy Rover P6 3500 or Triumph 2.5Pi are still very nice places to sit.

I took one of these out and I agree, they are much better than BMW/Mini's attempts in my opinion. Go like stink too.

What I'm talking about is all the stuff you expect on a barge (leather, satnav, aircon, soft close this, bluetooth that, etc, etc) in hatchback or similar format.
