Low budget fun second car

Over the years Ive had the pleasure of running new or nearly new Mk 1,2 and 3 MX5s as daily drivers. Good cars which I thoroughly enjoyed owning and driving. That said when circumstances forced me into more sensible transport and I found myself in exactly the same place as the OP I took a been there done that view of the MX5 and rather than the MK3 MR2 I plumped for an excelent low mileage, pristene 10 year old example for relative peanuts.

Not quite as bullet-proof as an MR2, (that said my uprated, HG, water pipes and brake pipes,example has been faultless the two years I've had it) and not far off the MR2 in providing an entertaining drive. It's also a damn site more practicle.
