To cite another example, when the billboards showing a healthy womans' figure being "Beach Ready" were vandalised earlier this year you could have taken a similar guess that she would be a white woman with feminist views. And you'd have been right.
It amuses me immensely that the BBC bends over backwards to be "gender neutral" and "multi-cultural" yet somehow all of its female presenters turn out to be young-looking and attractive.
I think I can speak for all blokes when I say I'd rather see some fit bird on there than some big unit horror bag. smile

Coming from an asian background, I don't think you can simply say this is because the idiots were asian. However, I do agree ethnicity and culture have a large part to play. There are plenty of Asian areas where this level of douchebaggery does not occur.

But on the other hand, given the right parameters it seems being asian with a muslim sounding name is a prerequisite for the driving-like-a-dick-in-a-hired-high-power-car scenario.

Most people seem to get drunk on special occasions, but as its strictly forbidden in Islam, it seems a lot of youngsters vent their testosterone by renting a fast car. I see a lot of videos on social media that originate from Birmingham and Bradford. Maybe London is simply too congested lol

You have it the wrong way round.

"....driving-like-a-dick-in-a-hired-high-power-car on a stag do in seems to be the right parameters for it being an asian....."

And there is a big difference.

No, when it happens in London it is the guys from Saudi doing it.

When it happens in Oxford it is the Posh Boys doing it.

When it happens in Norfolk it is the inbreds doing it.

When it happens in the South West it is......well probably tourists doing it, locals can only afford a Fiesta hire car.

You hear a story and you know know which group have done it, being able to comment and take the piss is all part of the fun.
People throwing the racist card about causes more issues imho.

We are all slightly racist, living in Norwich I hate people from Ipswich, and the Scots can do one, biggest chip on the shoulder of any nation, apart from the ones I know and get on with of course.
I don't like people who walk down the street with no shirt on, must be a chav, I tend judge everyone, it is human nature isn't it?

Absolutely. Wat is the agenda of those who absolutely needed to highlight race and religion ? Is this an anthropology forum ? Somehow, I doubt it but I could be wrong.

Please get over yourself. If it's about freedom of speech (which is not an absolute right in this country incidentally), then I am sure you'll respect my freedom of speech when I say I believe invoking race and religion is borne out of casual racism. Thank you.
You sound like you're suffering from an extreme case of leftism. I'm guessing you have "I (heart) KM" tattooed somewhere?

I don't think anyone is saying that?

I think it's merely an observation that in this particular instance, it was highly likely the suspects were of an asian background. A thesis which turned out to be 100% correct!

I don't have afternoon tea and biscuits because I'm White British. I do because I like tea and biscuits, in the afternoon. There's nothing stopping others from different ethnicity liking the same thing, but their cultural upbringing will have probably pre-determined otherwise. There was nothing stopping this gruop of tw*ts being a bunch of travellers or white chavs, but the statistics mean that we were able to make an educated guess that they were not.

If there is an agenda, perhaps it is to highlight that not only is this this type of driving is particularly common amongst a certain demographic but that this demographic seemingly get away with it simply because to "target" them for the offences is seen as racist - they're just nice young boys up to hi-jinks and not doing any harm because it's during the day rather than late at night and these boys don't drink (according to "community leaders")

Well, that's no surprise really is it? I should imagine it's almost impossible to taser someone doing 100+ mph in an R8 hehe

If you work in a laboratory, and apply theories to your observations which allow you to predict outcomes of events based on known factors, you're a scientist.

If you exercise the same logic in society, you're a bigot, racist, sexist, Nazi.

Brilliant! The stupidity of this thread knows no bounds. So lets just assess this particular stroke of genius. You are comparing structured, well observed and recorded evidence comparison techniques to some Daily Star readers "speculating" that these acts must be perpetrated by Asians and they must be muslims at a wedding. Genius.

Eh?

Why are you so keen to offend the people who made that observation, who later turned out to be 100% correct? And what part of being an observant, intelligent person capable of putting 2 and 2 together makes them a Daily Star reader?

To keep things on an automotive topic, you sir, are a dipstick.

The observation was a crashed supercar at a wedding. The theory was that it was more than likely people of Asian descent involved.

Has it been confirmed that that was the case in this instance? Do we know yet?
Confirmed as Asians, but the speculation was just that. Speculation based on what? No evidence whatsoever. So how has the speculation been drawn? Good old racial profiling WITHOUT statistics, which makes it???????????? Ill let you fill in the rest.

Im off for a beer, this level of stupid is tiring.

p.s, you sir are a tt.

"Statistics"

Google it, you plonker.

So now you're against speculation? But probably hold dearly to your right of freedom of speech, just keen to deny it to others when you don't quite like the subject matter.

Your jump-to-an-accusation attitude is the real, widespread problem here.

Why do you keep going on about Daily Star, Daily Mail blah blah blah??

You are pigeon holing just as much as the people you are berating.
