Actually, one imperial gallon = 1.2 US gallons. The US gallon is 0.83267384 of an imperial gallon.

This whole thing about 'soft touch' dashboards etc - does it really, really, matter? Yes, the things you touch (gearknob, door handles, steering wheel) should be nice, but maybe I'm the weird one when I can honestly say, I really don't spend much time touching and assessing the softness of the materials in any of my cars!
Yeah, I have never understood the fascination either. To me the dashboard is just a piece of plastic to cover up all the wires and vents between the steering wheel and the windscreen.
I didn't think this kind of stuff mattered to me, given I've had a few cars with generally nice steering wheels and seats which have been fairly poor elsewhere (Clio Williams, GTI-6, DC2 ITR), and a few basic older cars beforehand. However sitting in a 2012 Izuzu Dmax Utah, and an ex's work's Chevrolet something, it made me realise I've not experienced genuine low rent plastic previously, and these were interiors I couldn't spend my hard-earned on. The Izuzu's interior is apparently top of the range, it has heated leather seats and a few other bits of the interior generally look 'nice' and did their job, but there's not a chance I could tolerate a car with this interior while it commanded more than a few grand, nevermind £10k+. I don't remember much of the Chevrolet, but I just got in and within a few minutes laughed to myself. *So this is what they mean by cheap interiors*.

I can do basic no problem, but cheap and low quality appears to be beyond me.

Personally I think the new ATS-V and CTS-V look better than any BWM & Audi. I'm a big fan of BMWs, but their current design language is verging on utterly minging, perhaps with the exception of the M4; I still can't decide whether I like that or not. Interior is great in the Caddy too, with one exception - the steering wheel is bloody awful. The seats more than make up for it though, they're just lovely.

I'd encourage anyone to drive one before saying the German stuff is better too, the ATS-V is mighty impressive, and I can't wait to try the new CTS-V because of it. There's not many other cars I'll step out of a Hellcat for, and unless the forthcoming GT500 is spectacular a V-series caddy might be the only one that does.

That's why I made my post: to provide the data in UK gallons. smile

Your post may be redundant. I'm not sure what you're trying to say.

I was just correcting Ozzie Osmond's comment that USG is 4/5 the size of UKG. He made the error of assuming that the UKG being 20% larger converted to the USG being 20% smaller.
