Only 780bhp ?? Sorry Ferrari that just doesn't do it for me. Can't quite decide if its nice or ugly yet either.
Not sure I can think of a more powerful naturally aspirated engine in a production car?

Its quite the feat I think. 126bhp/ton in a big engine is impressive.

Those air intake above the rear wheels ruin it for me. Looks naff.
They will be vents for air pressure in the rear wheel arch. Drag and lift reducing.

Compare to the front arches of LMP cars:

Which has now developed to big gaping holes:

First road car to properly get in on the act was the 991 GT3 RS:

Function > Form.

TdF?

For a minute there I thought Ferrari had finally done a diesel!

...but what an utter eyesore.

780 bhp naturally aspirated V12. That's the headline for me. The car is a dog's dinner. Ferrari need to go elegant again with their design.

Would love someone with photoshop abilities to re do the photo in dark blue. And maybe red.

Makes me shudder to think it's likely someone's going to be lucky enough to buy one of these and then put a matte or chrome wrap on it...

The name Tdf comes from this:

The Tour de France Auto in September, a six-day rally of hill climbs, drag races, and circuit competitions. In the late fifties Ferrari basically "owned" this race with the 250 Berlinettas.

What a piece of kit, nearly 800hp from a n/a v12....nice work!

Looks sublime.
What PH didn't mention is that 80% of the 520lbft torque is also available from 2.5k RPM. Wow..

Thanks. Never knew that. Presumably the author didn't either or they would have mentioned it wink
Sooo... were the Fezzas in the TdFA yellow? Doesn't look like it. Seems strange to have it yellow if not due to the *other* TdF...
I presumed the author assumed everyone already knew, given the very well known 250 TdF's...

Yup, just like that.

Its a shame, the originals are now so valuable because of their history, what will these have aside from rarity only?
Welcome to modern marketing wink

No doubt functional, but also inspired by the 275 GTB/C

I really like the gill slots in the back and was going to ask if that's ever been done before...

And despite all the changes they still have the horrible "turn signal switches on the steering wheel" design.

+1

Feels like the designer was away on his holidays and the engineer shoved the needed bits with his Helix 'Maranello' math set.
On the bright side for once the Mansory version can't possibly look any worse than this. hehe
If this is going to be the direction they are taking for hot Ferrari version maybe they should consider taking over Mansory.

And they are not far off with Stallone F12!

A fair improvement over the 'old' Berlinetta.
I extrapolated the only 2 performance figures given to get the other figures below.

Also see how both model compare here: https://youtu.be/4FEI6W0T9AM
