Even then, I still wouldn't. Not much protection for the fuel tank and not much crumple zone ahead of you.

Funny little cars these, I had a turbo'd version from Van Aken, it was there demo car and had the full list of mods ( quirky and amusing but not fast enough to be fun).

Wow, this takes me back, I also had a Van Akken Turbo Cinqy, mine had Abarth wheels, lowering springs, uprated arbs and an abarth steering wheel. I then had a big ICE install (it was 1997) consisting of Rockford amps and Infinity speakers. All sound proofed with spray and mats. The car flew and even with Mods declared was dirt cheap to install. I remember mine would just pull to the limiter in top....well off the clock which showed 120mph( very optimistic as the standard 55bhp would show indicated 115 down a slight hill).

I loved that car and drove it everywhere, in the end the turbo went, I think that it turned out to be a known problem with the manifolds. I got rid though and moved onto a 1.2 16v Punto Sporting in yellow as well...felt dog slow after the cinqy !

I used to run these yoko 13" semi slick tyres....cant remember the exact model but it stuck like turd to a blanket...
