Not really deal related but seen as most of the posts don't seem to be i'll ask anyway.

Has anyone received an M135i from Gateway2Lease? Only reason i ask is i have decided to order one but while this came into a conversation when picking up an X6 at my local dealer the salesman tried to tell me that i would never get it. He said the only way you can get a bmw build slot is through a dealer and checked his computer and told me there was no build slots available.

Of course, they had one available at the time should i want to go with them but is this just sales tactics or should i be worried?

I know there's a ton of people that have got M135i's on here so i strongly suspect it's the former.
I'd be sending a strongly worded email to the Dealer Principle, that's just plain lies and they should get a bking for that.

If that is the case (and I'd love to find out if anyone has a lease like this) then it would have to be clearly stated on the hire agreement as you are signing up to it under the Consumer Credit Act.
Here's mine on the 208 GTi, my report shows the outstanding credit as the full price less the contract hire payments to date.

Part of it sounds correct, it is very difficult to get build slots on the M135i at the moment. Lots of parts shortages for nav screens are meaning build slots are being cancelled. I know as I've been caught up in it.
Factor in the supposed M140i coming later this year and it's turned into a proper balls up.

Tell me more, so you think i might not get one?

ETA - Here is what i have received : By returning your signed order form, a vehicle has been secured for you with the dealership. The lead time shown on your order form is a guide given to us by the dealership to advise when they currently anticipate when the vehicle will be available for delivery. Our admin team will contact you as and when they receive any information regarding the movement of your vehicle and will keep you fully informed with regards to when it is expected into dealer stock.

Interesting. Did the agreement detail that you would in effect be 'borrowing' the full amount?

I've seen some discussion on other sites about mis-applied debt which has been corrected when this has been pointed out to the finance company.

Sorry for the derail, lease deal fans wink I know this is a bit o/t but it's important to many when looking to finance a car as taking out a £5.5k agreement vs a £30k agreement may make a big difference to a mortgage application etc.

My M135i from Gateway2Lease actually came from BMW dealer Dick Lovett (much to the amusement of my work colleagues when they spotted the numberplate)

Hi,

I have found the below deal for a VW Golf R DSG 5Dr:

12 month lease
8K miles per annum
£2070 deposit inc VAT
£230 per month inc VAT

Total for 12 months - £4830 inc VAT

Just wondering if there are any deals that are more competitive than this? Apologies as I have not had a chance to go through the thread.

Go back through the thread you will see a lot of posts discussing this exact deal and the merits over taking out a lease at c.£7k for 24 months.

Certainly makes more sense for it to be the number of months x the amount - anything other than that and I certainly would be bringing it up with the lease company/finance company...
After all you have to hand your car back at the end

Thanks for your response. No problem will have a browse through the thread. Any idea around which pages I should be looking at as probably won’t be going through 330 pages, sorry to be a pain!

Also, I would prefer a 12 month lease as 1) I am looking to take out a mortgage next year so don’t want a lease to affect the amount of lending I can get and 2) If I am getting a stock car then 12 months would be better as if I was getting a car over a longer period of time, I would prefer some options added on such as leather seats, navigation system, 19” wheels etc… The list is endless! Lol. However, this would significantly increase the monthly cost; hence why I would prefer a stock car on a 12 month lease.

Any suggestions and available offers welcome. This would be my first lease.

Thanks in advance.

If you plan to add options you're better off going through a broker and doing a PCP. Won't get into it on this thread but it usually works out cheaper than a lease this way. It did with my anyway smile

Hi,

I think a 12 month lease would be the best option for me at this time. Are there any 12 month lease deals available on the VW Golf R DSG 5dr apart from the one i mentioned above? If so, appreciate it if you could guide me in the right direction. I have had a quick scan but can mainly see deals on the estate. Sorry to be a pain again!

Many thanks

A 12 month lease on a Golf R is going to be expensive especially once you've added in options cost. Most of the good deals are over 2 years on base spec cars. Unfortunately what you're looking for isn't going to be cheap as you might hope it to be. Not sure on your deposit or budget expectations.

You're best off looking through the most recent 10-15 pages of this thread or looking at the lease deals wiki thread. Most Golf R deals ended over a week ago so you won't be getting much discount.

I won't be adding on any options on a 12 month lease as it isn't worth it. Do you think the below deal is decent?

VW Golf R DSG 5Dr:

12 month lease
8K miles per annum
£2070 deposit inc VAT
£230 per month inc VAT

Total for 12 months - £4830 inc VAT

Would have preferred a smaller deposit but the monthly payments seem okay.

Also, many thank, i will have a look over the last 15 pages of the thread and also look through the other thread you have mentioned smile

Faisal, is this a PCP deal or a PCH deal? Difference is you get a final optional payment with a PCP

Sorry forgot who's its with, come across when browsing google but will let you know when i find it later.

And it did have an option to buy of around £26k after the 12 months if I'm not mistaken.

Then its a PCP. You are financing the full 28k. That will affect your borrowed amount for a mortgage
