That's a fair comment - "awful" is a strong word.

I just felt it was too stiff to be comfortable, and yet the front end had a lightness that needed a bit of weight on it before giving any confidence in swift driving. Just a light brake pressure was enough to give some confidence prior to turning, but that was frustrating on "kinks" that didn't actually need any reduction in speed. I imagine a coupe would have the weight balance further forward than a touring, which could be enough.
Depends on the model year. I know the recent LCI cars have better ride comfort despite RFTs. My 4 series is great on RFTs, the ride is comfortable yet sufficiently firm. Tyre noise is slightly high, but overall it's very good. Soaks up bumps well, wafts well on motorways, corners well

I presume you mean Passat?
The best I see is 9+23 £175+VAT for a 2.0 TDI SE Business, which is not especially great

Anyone might think misspetrolhead16 was a creation of a VW employee since she has posted three times, each time puffing VW deals.

How very cynical of you! Can't you see she's just pleased to share with us all the fantastic news of her brother's new 'Volkswagen Saloon'?

Yes, how dare we doubt the veracity of [forum_user] posting about [great|amazing|superb] deals on [make] [model] on [internet_forum]?

Could you bring us the Passat Alltrack deal again, please?

Or maybe get new Tiguan kick-started with some hot deals.

How can they, since no link or reference to where this good deal is?

Hi everyone,

Been looking around for a decent deal for a 520d m sport Auto and I came across 2 deals which I found appealing to me.

Fully Maintained
deposit: 2583
23 x 287
admin fee: 180 via G2L

Total: 9364

Non Maintained
Deposit: 2400
23 x 258
admin fee: 180 via central vehicle leasing

Total: 8514

What do you think of the 2 deals? Is it worth paying extra for the maintenance?

Cheers

How much maintenance do you expect to require in 2 years? My view is you'll be unlucky to need more than one oil change, so you've paid a lot for the privilege if you go maintained.

And then again, I've needed 3 new tyres on my E92 BMW this year - it's a bit of an insurance policy IMO - I didn't get the choice on the car I'm waiting to turn up.

Yeah thats what I was thinking. I'll most probably require just one oil change oner the 16k miles so I've decided to go for non maintained.

You're not likely to wear any out over the course of 20k miles, so it's just punctures. Can't you get insurance to cover punctures?

It's in line with the "Alphabet" business deals available from the main dealers, so I'd say yes.
