Yeah thats what I was thinking. I'll most probably require just one oil change oner the 16k miles so I've decided to go for non maintained.

And then again, I've needed 3 new tyres on my E92 BMW this year - it's a bit of an insurance policy IMO - I didn't get the choice on the car I'm waiting to turn up.
You're not likely to wear any out over the course of 20k miles, so it's just punctures. Can't you get insurance to cover punctures?
Really? Even in a heavy engined diesel? What is the average tyre wear life these days - I have no idea as I change my cars so often. biggrin

I have never got 20k out of a set of rear tyres on any BMW I've had.

Yeah, sorry, that's the alphabet deal. Overlooked that the other one isn't 9+.
Problem (for op) is that personal terms don't seem to be available....

On servicing, with our last 2 Mercs they have both needed rear tyres, and one service within 15k and 24 months. BMW deal adds £10/month on a 2 year deal so I'm thinking it's worth it.

Can't I just use part worn tyres if I've only got 1-2k miles left to do on the car?

Ever bought a new one on OEM tyres? My F11 535i had the OE Bridgestone run-flats on it when I bought it; they had about 4-5mm all round. I've just changed them after 11k miles now they're down to 2mm. You'd probably get closer to 30k out of a fresh set.

If the car doesn't have a staggered set-up, swap the backs and fronts around at a suitable mileage. The fronts should hardly wear.

Or do what I did: when I got my first SLK I got a set of Conti Winter tyres. I was on a 24 month, 30K lease. This meant I ended up giving the car back with the original tyres on with plenty of tread. I'm just giving my second SLK back next Friday and I had the (same set of) winters taken off yesterday. So I've managed 4 years, 60K and only bought one set of tyres (which I will now sell - fronts have tons of tread, rears are getting a bit low on the winter sipes) - I've also had the advantage of the winter tyres.

The fronts are easily good for another two winters and the rears maybe one, which would have made them even more cost effective, however they're 18" and the new car has 10" wheels.

Good luck with selling winter tyres ;-) I have set from SLK in my garage for second year. BTW, I did 23K on rears in SLK and changed them only because they were damaged on the side, not because of the wear. Also managed 19K in C63 and car was sold onwards by the dealer on the same set. So I wouldn't expect to change tyres within 20K mileage but that depends on driving style.

How coincidental,

Just yesterday evening she was telling me how she pulled up at a roundabout, and in-front of her was a 370Z in white, her favourite colour.

206 pm plus vat

Hope she doesn't see this !

Coming to end of term on my current company car, and have been looking around for a big comfy bus for getting work stuff done.

Currently in a Nissan Pathfinder, and looking for something similar that doesn't shake, rattle and creak as much with a better dealer network.

Looking for some guidance, or suggestions for alternatives.

Lease profile would be 9 + 35, and circa 20k annually on a business lease, circa £400 p/m + VAT non-maintained.

I like the look of the new XC90, but seems to be a little out of my reach.

Any thoughts, or links would be appreciated.

Depends whether you need 7 seats or not, but some cracking deals on the VW Touareg Escape and R-line.

Don't need the 7 seats, but just like the look of the Xc90.

Any links for the VW deals?
