My new leasemobile! Got the Golf today.
1.6 tdi 110 DSG match edition
I paid 1k down and £150 monthly. The adaptive cruise is awesome!

Ooh is that urano grey? If so we have exactly the same car on order. Had the paperwork through from VW yesterday which says registration date is July 5th, so not sure how soon after that it will arrive. We'll be paying £192 a month on a 1 + 23.

GF has a Polo in the same colour. Looks fantastic imo! Just don't scratch it... Local hand wash place put a nice one in hers and the white underneath shows up very badly :-(

^^^^. Search on here to get a flavour of what you are looking for.

....then read over the last 30-40 pages of this thread to compare what's been better/worse, or better priced.

Refer back to step 1, and if there's nothing current that's so good then continue to monitor here and above until something good pops up... And share the love when you find something.

Hello snappy..OK so you had a Golf R for a while, did it have the adjustable suspension? If so, please give me your opinion, especially as you claim it's not advisable to have this option but please elaborate as I'm interested, if not well, I've already advised what to do and won't repeat it again.

Once again I'll ask the question again as I don't think some understood it first time round....does the adjustable suspension make much difference to the ride? My wife doesn't like firmly suspended cars so if it's reasonably soft'ish then I'd love to hear anyone's views. Just to put the record straight I'd like a Golf R on a lease deal not a pcp or to buy, just for a couple of years would be fine and I don't mind whether it's a bargain or not but don't recommend a Mondeo or a Skoda as I want a Golf R.

I look forward to some sound advice or assistance preferably without swear words if possible....
As mentioned above, we specced it on our R lease. We only ever drive it In either comfort or race settings (normal is the middle man) so the most compliant to the hardest. I feel a marked difference in the ride changing between the two although it's nowhere as big a jump as in the type r's 'R' mode as a comparison. In comfort, the ride is firm but pretty good for a hot hatch. There have been only a few times in the last 20k miles I've thought I could do with more waft but that was close to sense of humour failure tiredness etc.

If we did it again, on the same deal, I'd still be happy to pay the millions extra to have it over the two years. And DSG.
Thanks for your input, the sort of info I was looking for. This is going to be the wife's car so need to be able to convince her it's not going to be an uncomfortable bumpy ride for her as she drives about 12k per year. I have a big wafty family car but want some 'fun' at the weekends so was hoping this car could be made into an acceptable school run car as well as fun when I want a blast.

A sub £300 deal under 3 years is not going to get you an Audi at present, not even a Volvo XC60. It does put you in the Nissan/Ford/Hyundai/Kia range though

The thing I find is, the websites with their £300 cutoffs just miss out on the £310 deals that I am looking at. You then have to got to £400 and trawl through/ Needs a £350 bracket to make things easier

Also petrol/auto limits the field somewhat. I have been looking at just the same price/options and the classier SUV market does not fit that bill

Nice deal especially with the miles. 208gti Prestige 6+35 no fee amortised cost £218/month or £7860 total on 20k miles a year. Haven't checked on lower miles but I was sent this by a mate who's looking for a higher mileage deal.

I wouldn't be adding an expensive option like DCC to a Golf. I'd probably go for a cupra that comes with it as standard. If a bumpy ride is putting you off a golf R, I doubt you're the type of person that will miss the 4WD on the golf as you won't be doing burnouts off the line.

Has anyone ordered the Polo GTI?
Been quoted £220 inc VAT for 13k miles with 3 months deposit - for a fully maintained contract with light with Parking Pack.

Currently quoting August/Sept delivery.

Has anyone seen similar or better? Looking to sign a deal pretty soon.

If you like the deal get it. Nobody knows your circumstances and if you've done some searches you must be happy that it is value. There is always a better deal coming along so you've just got to jump in when you're happy!

Check the 5k/yr price + excess mileage.
How much does the maintained add? Seldom is it good value.

That seems like a pretty good deal for those miles. Tempting indeed.

On the Peugeot deal a couple above:

oddly if the miles are reduced to 15000 the price goes up to £216 month!

That was my fear for our next car - this is exactly 50% more than the old model run out deals.

Hopefully prices will have gone down in 18 months time as I would struggle to justify such a delta.

About to pull the trigger on the following deal unless someone can find a better one?

Audi S3 3 door, auto, MY17
£1050 initial
£359 a month
10k annum
Over 2 years
Options included are metallic paint and Bang &olufsen upgrade and price includes VAT.

Only big downside is a huge 30 pence per mile excess 'if' over 10 annum.
