would you mind sharing the deal Donuts? I assume their are good deals as it's an outgoing model, which doesn't bother me
Sure - the SQ5 from Listers is £2,368.44 initial payment, then £394.74 x 35, giving a total cost over 3 years of £16,184.

http://listers.co.uk/Leasing/Offers/Audi/Q5/Q5_Die...

A quick look just now shows the closest comparable deal on contracthireandleasing.com coming from Leasing Options - for 36month/10k pa with no options they're showing a £1,855 initial rental including fees, then £558 a month, so £21,385 over the 3 years.

Neither of those deals look great.

The Golf R could be had for £7686 all in (inc. VAT) at Central Vehicle Leasing:

http://www.centralukvehicleleasing.co.uk/vehicle/c...

Not sure there are any M135i deals around at the moment though.

EDIT: Just seen you were after a 3dr DSG, so Central have that at £8376 all in:

I've checked the second link — the £2000 initial rental says + vat, so presumably I have to pay £2400 up front. Comes out at £8776 all in, but it's still a decent amount cheaper, so thanks!

That's not far off double the best price from a year or so ago, without options. Given the very good discounts and strong residuals, buying/PCP makes more sense right now. A base spec manual is around £25k iirc.
Ouch, shame I missed the boat. I can't afford to buy one and I don't really want to buy a brand new car anyway. PCP makes the payments much higher, right? I'm pretty new to this game; having only ever bought cheap second-hand cars I'm wanting to have a new shiny one for a couple of years as a treat before I get a mortgage and then can only afford second-hand cars again.

My calculations include VAT so the totals I quoted are correct. So £8376, not £8776 for the 3dr DSG. Saving you about a grand on your previous quote. biggrin

True. We PCPd and took a punt that we'd see the bulk of our £2k deposit back. In our favour are fairly strong prices for second hand SQ5s, but there's an all new model coming out next year which will no doubt soften things up. List was £47.5k including a few of MrsDonut's essential /pointless options and Listers matched the drivethedeal.com price which took invoice back down to £41.5k.

Presumably lesser Q5s benefit from some pretty good deals too?

BMW dealers are currently doing about £6000 deposit contribution on the M135i so you can actually pick one up on PCP with a £345 deposit, £345 per month on a 48 month pcp. The M135i lease deals haven't been competitive in comparison to the golf r.

Interesting, by any chance did you deal with a salesman with the initials SM? A very recent sales experinice with him has left a very bitter aftertaste for me and Walton. Cretinous would be me being very kind in describing him!

Which dealership was this quote on the M135i from? The dealer I went to couldn't come close to that, £1.1k deposit, £399 per month. Thanks

Many thanks to Fast Bug for sorting out a great deal on a C300 h AMG line premium plus. Delivery expected end of March. He did everything he said he was going to do, always responded quickly to emails, basically the complete opposite of what you usually get from car dealers.

£26700
I realise it's a lease thread.. When plugging a 135i in coast2coast I get a quote of £26700 using solid white paint. At £359x49 that totals £17591, I believe it said the final payment was 13k so ignoring interest it would potentially be a 4k saving to buy

Just chucking it out there buying it might be better than leasing and PCP this time

Unless you have £26700 lying around then you'll need 45 payments of £545 + interest to get that saving. The PCP is £4308 per year so it's more sensible to compare the £17591 to the 4year depreciation figure and I've no idea whether it would be greater or less than GFV.

Best M135i deal bar none can be found on babybmw forum, the dealer on there called Trl was offering a boggo spec 3 door manual in white for only £1k down, £299 month on pcp 48 month deal 8k per annum.

Every £500 extra deposit, knock off £11 off the monthlies. There is even a list of options cost per month so you can work out your own spec.
