Eh? I just spent five seconds searching and found loads of sites offering three month lease deals. It may not the most cost-effective solution for everyone but it does seem to exist.

Thanks ez5, might explain the lack of news. I've been promised an update on Monday.

Please do report back what you here. I was told there was a chance it could be earlier than June but that's the ETA as things stand.

Oh.

As has been mentioned, 2-3 month lease deals do actually exist - if you spent 5 seconds searching before your post, as I did, you would see that. I just wanted to know if there was any particularly cheap deals doing the rounds (that is the purpose of this thread?) as I didn't fancy spending £300 per month on a Fiat 500.

Sorry. I thought the purpose of this thread was to post great lease deals. It is not, as has been mentioned previously, a deal finding service.
I suggest you go take one of those great 3 month deals you've found...

First post in this thread but been reading it since volume 1.

Always fancied the idea of a lease and enviously looked at some of the deals people were getting. However, with a car to part exchange the hassle of buying on-line, and then trying to sell my car, put me off until today.

Secured a Cactus Flair for my wife from the local Citroen dealer, who also took our part exchange.

Increased mileage to 15k a year making total cost for 18 months = £2683 or £149 a month all in - matching NVS' deal.

Looking forward to more lease deals and having more freedom in 18 months when I will have no trade in.

Apology accepted. As you can see I'm new here but skimming through the thread I've seen countless posts from people asking for particular deals smile

And again, I haven't found a great deal hence why I asked.

There are companies offering the tail ends of people's current leases.

Some seem good depending on how desperate the seller is.

Ignore the pompous self-appointed thread monitors - some people seem so far up their own arse it's ridiculous.

There are companies that do mid term rentals, Northgate do cars as well the vans they're best known for. Or speak to a local rental company and see if they'll cut you a deal, I wouldn't bother with the likes of Enterprise though

You're right. I apologise. But if there's one thing That gets my goat more than pompous self appointed thread monitors it lazy newbies asking for someone to find them a deal...

Not sure but that's 55p a mile worth of lease (and tax) alone, which sounds high. That's more than the predicted overall cost per mile over 9k miles / year in my M135i...

Sorry for putting you out. Members on other forums I use tend to be willing to help out with info and advice. I didn't realise this one was different or is it just you?

Seriously, what's the big deal? All I asked was for advice on finding a decent short term lease - as I said, you'll find 100's of posts in this thread of people asking for particular deals.

Best deal for a Golf R at the moment is a Scirocco R

I take your point but this is not a 'help find me a deal' thread. Anyway, you immediately got the best advice from 2cv and I helped by posting a link to the thread he referred to. All good, no? What more do you want.

Well, they do exist but they are hard to come by and phenomenally expensive. You could run a barge for 3 months and sell it for what you paid. Just seems more sensible to me but it's just my opinion.

Yeah but this thread is about lease deals where PHers dont want the aggro of buying and selling
Instead they have the aggro of not knowing what month to expect delivery hehe
Anyway dont most PHers have a spare idea
