That 'ship' has long sailed. Sorry.
I've been thinking we need to add the day in the date in the wiki so that if someone looks on 11 March they may be too late for a deal entered on 03 March

Very good shout, I agree... Also, it seems that the majority are no longer available. Links to the deal should be recommended and a little bit more pruning...?

The wiki isn't going to work. It's a noble idea but unless people proactively maintain it it becomes valueless.

People should just stop being lazy and do their own homework. smile

The trouble with this (as happens on hotukdeals) is that one person's "expired" is another person's "you didn't speak to the right person".

With the Passat deal, it was a flash in the pan error-based deal that very, very few people could take advantage of. There will, allegedly, shortly be the "proper" deal on Alltracks released and that would be worth putting on the Wiki as it will last long enough for people to find it and take advantage. It will be nothing like the "mistake deal" though! Allegedly (according to idle gossip with vw dealer) it will be more like £280 per month.

BMW dealer here in N Ireland - Prentice Portadown. Business customers only.

Seems to have been offered through the BMW 'Alphabet' scheme

Great to deal with, and car delivered 3 weeks earlier than the estimate

It looks cheap as the man maths in people's head sees it as £200/mth.

But really it's £350/mth.

Yeah I thought that from it's inception really. Some deals move so quickly it'll effectively be out of date in days or a week.

It's not a bad deal, but firstly be careful as this is a business deal "personalised" and it doesn't always directly translate like that and secondly, as with all VW deals, why would anyone go for anything other than 5K? Speak to a VW dealer and they'll do you a 5K quote. Contracting for anything over that is a waste of money as the rate offered never matches the excess mileage rate.

Edit: just to add that I think (based on my experience with the VW dealer) this will be around £160p/m on a 3+23 for 5K, so a base of around £4160 over two years, which is very good).

Good morning,

I am pleased to say that the Passat Alltrack is now available again for quotations.

Although the figures are higher that were previously advertised it still represents amazing value for a vehicle with an RRP of £31,185 - £34,265.

As a way of saying thanks for your patience and understanding if you order a Passat Alltrack on Contract Hire I will give you one of the following for free..

· Onboard espresso machine
· Cool and thermos box

In order to secure these rates I have attached a proposal form, if you wish to provisionally order one (100% cancellable) please return the relevant form and I will contact you later on today to discuss options etc.

Incidentally metallic paint will uplift the price around £17 per month.

Many thanks again for your patience and I hope to have the opportunity to speak soon!

Kind Regards

So, for the 190 based on 2k deposit, it's now £7644 over the term instead of what... 3.5k?

Juts goes to show how special that offer was!

On another note - WTF is an onboard espresso machine? I have no idea but it sounds like I need one in my life!!!

or rather how "too good to be true" it was... the power of this thread is how you can capitalise on these before the manufacturer spots it and sts themselves!!

It's good to see them dropping under £5000 over the 2 years again and there's extra value in the deal above as most places are quoting for 5K miles per year. When my missus got hers 6mths it was seeing the Lookers offers with a headline price of £89/mth that first made me look at Tiguan. But they were all over the place on availability and we needed a car quickly.

The killer with Tiguan is adding DSG bumps up the monthly out of all proportion as it's only available with 4Motion. I just don't think SUVs work as manuals.

If anyone does want one of these they should grab it - my missus is thrilled to bits with hers and VW must be at the point of switching over to the new model now and that's looking like it'll be much more expensive.

Yeah - to be fair the lower prices were at 5K and not 10K , so it's more like £7800 vs £4200, but that's still £150 per month difference! Wowsers... I'm feeling rather lucky to have secured one now! I'd better enjoy it while it lasts though as, unless I get a massive pay rise, there's no way I'll be able to get into such a car again after two years.

As expected the real deal is now up there
http://www.whatcar.com/car-leasing/deals/volkswage...

Not quite as good as the other day but far better than the £500+ that I saw last week. If this stays this way it might be a fair contender for the XC60 when I need to sign up for the next one at the end of the year

http://www.whatcar.com/car-leasing/deals/volvo/xc6...

The XC60 has been fair value as it includes things that you have to spec up on other vehicles. I didn't see the point in getting a Q3 or an R Line Tiguan when I could have the next class up for the same money
