Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol II)
Discussion
Last two Mercs I've leased ("personal operator lease" from MBFS) have both asked me if I wanted to buy the car at the end of the lease.
Also the B-I-L bought his 7 series at the end of the lease; he wasn't going to but they originally asked 23K, then 18K and eventually said 13K. He couldn't believe it.
There was also a PHer local to me who sold his ex-lease car on to another PHer; I went around and had a quick look at it for him before he committed to travelling a long way himself. It was silly cheap - like 11K or something for a 3 year old C class.
I get the impression that you can get a right bargain sometimes - especially if you got one of the cheap lease deals on this thread and then get the car for pretty well the auction value. What puts me off is that I lease diesels (had 2 SLKs and just had an E class delivered) and while I prefer the power delivery and the SLKs were mental economical I'm not sure I'd like to own one out of warranty; emmissions regs have made them into mobile chemistry sets (I notice that my new one has no spare wheel - there's an adblue tank there instead).

Have there ever been any good A7/S7 deals?
There were some. I ordered in January and took delivery of my A7 3.0TFSI Black Edition last Friday - very impressed so far Deals available at the moment are more expensive than when I ordered though...

All leases are calculated on the basis of what the car will be worth at the end of the term to the company.
Well, yes. But that's not a "Guaranteed Final Value". They bang them into auctions and hope they get more than the value they guessed at when the lease started. If they gave you a GFV at the point when you took out the lease, then it probably wasn't a lease agreement.

Not possible in the name of the original lessee.
For a personal lease is doesn't make any difference, it's more for companiesWelshChris said:

Don't see it listed and at 8k it may not make a huge difference for most, but watch the excess mileage with Horizon as I think it's something like double the normal VWFS 7.2pGolf R 3dr

£2,957 with VAT, upfront and monthly payments but excluding the admin fee. (Oddly the 9+23 is cheaper than the larger deposit).

G2L appears to be for the manual model. Other quotes are for the DSG.
