How does that deal not look anything other than an 'error' or someone fishing for leads?
To be fair it's still more than the Alltrack was. Also clearly an error - but how stupid do I (and no doubt many others) feel for not going for it?

Out of interest, has anyone had their Alltrack delivered yet?

2 months ago I would have said the same, but sine the VW All track deals.......
Also JLR have big ambition to make more cars and things are hardly going their way in China.
But anyway, the deal wasn't real, but almost anything goes these days.
I just don't think they're the type of company to chuck a load of cars in to the market place with lots of support behind them. I think they've seen the Germans do it and dillute their brands and kick RV's and are taking a different route

The alltrack deals were clearly a mistake too; it just didn't get spotted until it was too late. I wouldn't say anything goes of the back of the alltrack thing.

Nicely specced too.
Just not in Curry-poo orange.

Stealth grey is a head turner and is listed as solid paint in the e-brochure

Nice oxymoron smile

Yes, that Focus is a fair deal. BMW 125 were cheaper just before the facelift in 2015 but who knows when the next bargain deal is around the corner.

Most of the errors are random leasing brokers making a "mistake" in ads.

The Alltrack glitch price was on VWFS's system and I can only guess VWFS honoured it because it wasn't just random leasing brokers offering it - VW dealers were advertising and send out email-shots to potential customers too. Seems incredible that VWFS didn't pull it faster, especially when people were calling them to ask if it was real (and they were saying no).

Just seen this on Hot deals

Jaguar XE Saloon
2.0d R-Sport 4dr Auto
9+23
8k Miles p/a
Initial Payment: £1,070.55
Additional Fees: None
£118.95 Per Month, INC VAT
that's very cheap if genuine... not sure what a 2.0 diesel auto XE would be like though. Wonder if they're struggling to shift them.
Honest John's page for it seems to have disappeared, so I think it was an error. Why would a 2.0 diesel XE auto be any less appealing than a 320d auto, which seem to grow on trees on the roads these days? I don't think Jag are having any difficulty shifting XEs judging by the number I'm starting to see and the lack of amazing deals on them.
Badge, build, reliability, how it drives... Could be any number of reasons! Why are Jaguars never as popular as other premium marques? Anyway it was bks.
Lack of popularity is a good thing in this instance surely? Most journalists rate the XE drive and handling best in class. The waiting list for an XE is months.

The hire fleets are getting a load of them so I'm guessing it's a matter of time before those deals get trickled down to the private customers, JLR motors are almost as cheap as BMW on certain hire fleets, as they are main office direct

it is entirely possible that the brokers were working from dodgy figures from their finance companies that they use. They are totally and utterly at the mercy of the manufacturer and the finance co in the deals they can provide. They don't just fund discounts themselves, they only make 2 bob on each deal. (definitely not saying we should pity them!).

it's rare that a good car, well priced is unpopular. It's usually either because it's not a good car, or is not well priced. As I say I have no experience of the XE but I definitely have experience of Jaguar.

I've been in the market for such type of car recently. I can tell you the Germans discount much more heavily, whereas Jaguar have not. Although you get more standard equipment on the XE and list price indicates the Jag is more favourably priced, in the real world they're not giving 20% discounts (not too hard with BMW for instance).

There you go - that's another reason why you don't see spectacular deals on them. Why would Jaguar want to cut their throat when there's a waiting list at full price?
