I wish the so-called mods would actually note their actions on the thread.

I believe only Stable can post about deals they have.

I watched Spectre tonight, it was really good. I don't think that he leases his Aston though, he'd get thumped on the return conditons...

Looks like. I think it's the helpful new posters from lease companies probably contravening posting rules by contributing to the thread.

No doubt ph want to monetise them somehow.
That's a shame - the aim should be to make the best deals in the market known to members.

Exactly. Thats the whole point of the thread.

What awas the deal out of interest? And I agree, bit strange to have a best lease deal available thread if you are only allowed to post deals from one company.....

To be fair to Pistonheads - do you remember that guy Paul/Phil(?) who promised everyone a Golf R for peanuts?

Deal was 6 +23 8000 miles £135ish

Mind you, either the approved leasing partner has had a whinge...

...or Ph has moved to protect them. Advertising is banned on the forums so I can see why they've done it.

I'm glad to be honest. It was getting tedious all the "mate can you give me a quote for a black for a black polo on a 5 + 23 and 7,500 miles a year.". Surely the point of this thread should be for posters to put the details of stuff they have found up.

The chances of a business posting the best deal every time is slim and dilutes the point of the thread. I'd block them from posting on here too.

I agree, no one want's to clog up this page with the same information.

My details were posted on here for people to contact me directly, to avoid such issues.

The forums need to be kept free flowing.

Wow, I'd be very interested in that. GF is looking at a cooking 1.2 for £190! (on HP mind)

Hi,

Trying to help a friend out, but struggling to find a deal for a SLK 300 AMG on the net.

Does anyone know where I can get the best quote for a personal contract for said car, or very similar alternatives (possibly better cars) for a better price. Cleary 2 door premium convertible (no MX5's). She currently has a TTS and wants something quick.

Waiting to hear back from Merc on their offer but want to have something to counteract with. Its east to find the 250d AMG but the 300 Petrol seems much harder.

Thanks

I've had the finance paperwork through, via email, for the Tiguan I've agreed to hire.
Before I agreed to hire this car I was quoted 3*23 at £211.79 - so that's a £635.37 initial payment.

But ...
email also said:
INITIAL PAYMENT
The Initial Rental in full which will be taken by Direct Debit approximately 10-14 days after delivery will be £2138.12 Inc Vat
Inchcape Volkswagen Telford is contributing £1502.78 towards your Initial Rental. This is paid to you approximately 10-14 days after the date of delivery.
Is that normal? Seems like another thing that might turn into a ballsache.

Might be an idea to put those contact details in your forum profile, Paul.

£2138.12 minus the contribution of £1502.78 = £635.34

You pay the 635.34 (or .37) and the contribution pays the other part of the deposit.

Yes, I understand the maths but it's the part about me paying 2138.12 upfront and then, according to the broker's email, VW will pay me back 1502.78.
The VW paperwork makes no mention of the money back though.

Doesn't sound right to me and it's certainly not the terms I agreed to when discussing the deal with the broker. I'm not that worried about paying it as long as I'll definitely get the money back but it seems like the terms I agreed verbally have changed.

What do you guys reckon? Would you proceed or does this larger upfront payment sound wrong?
