Wasn't depreciation on the original RS3 fairly minimal? Could it not make more sense to buy one rather than spend £15k - £20k leasing one for 2 years?

Probably does yea. All the RS models seem to enjoy pretty decent residuals. PCP it is then!

Depends if you like giving Audi finance well over £5k in interest charges I guess?

according to audi PCP calculator, the residual after a 3 year and 30k mile total contract is £24k, down from a £41k RRP. So a £17k drop. However as the particular deal i am looking at is £4k down and £525pcm, you are paying £22375 (£1375 extra than lease) to get the opportunity of some potential equity. Wise?

actually... the difference may be accounted for by the difference in mileages across those different deals, which i had forgotten about...

Afternoon all. Long time lurker here. The wife has to hand back her company car due to changing jobs. Was looking on here for a nice, cheapish run around. I tried the Tiguan deal a few pages back but missed out by about 2hrs. Having a browse around the internet I came across this deal:

http://www.marshallweb.co.uk/mercedes-benz/new-car...

It's for an A180d Sport, Manual, has to be either Red or White. it's a 1+23 deal for £229 +_£229 per month.

We've got an A180d Sport at the moment while her company car has some rework done on a repair before going back, albeit an auto and quite like it. Does it sound like a good deal? She's not after anything too fancy and this has enough toys for her to stay safe (or rather for the car to stay safe'ish with her driving).

Are Audi discounting RS3s at all? Orange Wheels suggest a couple of grand off, so not much.

If that's the Arval deal, you'll need to be very quick. All of the original slots went, and they extended it today but were at 85% slots sold as of this morning.

I can match it if it's the Arval deal smile

Yes, it's the Arval deal. I secured a red one and paid the deposit, but as it was over the internet I've still got the cooling off period left to decline. It does sound a good deal though would have preferred auto and A200 smile

Lucky you've got a spot, just had an email stating that they're not taking any more proposals for it. It's a really good deal smile

I'd expect another offer pretty soon, the website had been changed to show the SE rather than the sport on Monday morning and I'd secured mine last Friday, which was the last one they had at that point.

Is there anything remotely exciting available for under £300 a month at the moment?

I am sick to the back teeth of bills on my current car, but can’t bear having something too boring.

To be honest I think you'd struggle to get a Golf R for £300 a month all in, even at 5000 mpa.

Seat Leon Cupra 290 might be worth a look - http://www.centralukvehicleleasing.co.uk/vehicle/c...

Or the Renault Megane 275 Cup S - http://www.tilsungroup.com/renault-megane-coupe-2....

Both come in well under £300 a month, though I'm not sure of the excesses on either.

Is it me or do we seem to be getting worse deals in Q4 than the rest of the year?

I saw a post earlier that stated Golf R for £209 from Select Contracts but that deal hasn't yet materialised - I emailed them and was told all they can offer is on the web at the moment and its was nowhere close to that figure.

Coming off the back of an S3 saloon ( that now looks like a hatchback) I'm looking for something similar but nothing is grabbing me.

I was tempted by the S8 offered but decided I couldn't deal with going back to a barge size car again (previous was rs6)

Any ideas would be much appreciated as I need to get something sorted - insurance courtesy car goes back in 7 days!

There's one here, Cr4zy: http://www.ukcarline.co.uk/car-leasing/bmw/3-serie...

£349.86 on 9+23 with 15k miles

ETA: just realised it's a touring.

Edited by PorkInsider on Tuesday 1st December 20:08
Looks like that deal is only £5/m + VAT more expensive for the 335d based on 10k pa. Seems good to me.
The 335d x drive touring looks good to me at £1700 down and £286 plus vat for 10k

I think I'll quite likely have one of these if the deals are still available q1 2016 to replace my e class estate which goes back in May
