Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol II)

Hi all,

When placing the order for my lease and subsequent dealings, I found that my experience direct with dealers was better than that of lease brokers, as well as obviously avoiding any fees.

With my current lease due to end in October and the search beginning for a replacement, I was wondering if anyone had contact details for anyone they've dealt with at BMW, Mercedes or Audi directly? Not entirely sure what to replace my R with yet but it would at least mean I can go off and do my research and then just e-mail/call with my exact requirements, hopefully allowing everything to go as smoothly as with the last.

I always take the approach of using lease brokers/search to get the lowest price I can, and ring a few for proper quotes.

Then take it to a few local dealers to see if they can get anywhere near it. In my experience Merc and BMW dealers never got even close to the lease broker prices even taking into account fees. I've heard rumours the VW/Audi may match some quotes.... but have never seen it myself. But Simpsons Skoda seem to do some very good deals.

My local VW group won't even do PCH at all... I went in to look at a Golf R and they said "we only do leasing using PCP finance".... er, it isn't a lease then.

I can't say that's not true, but you're probably just not getting to the right person and the normal retail guys won't want to pass you on. Even the pretty small VW dealer on The Wirral, owned by Inchcape, has a dedicated lease salesman based in the branch.

You need Fleet sales - you need to search online and find your nearest VW dealer with a Fleet Sales department - they are the ones that handle PCH - not all dealers do this.

Yeah, that's why I thought I'd ask in here as I don't think the general salesmen deal with PCH but rather fleet sales. Even then, I'm guessing one off PCH deals won't do much for them and it's more word of mouth to get details of those who will and those who are competitive, hence asking in here. With PCH gaining traction, figured there are more people coming out of the woodwork in dealing with such enquiries.

Had the same thing just before ordering my R, local dealer said they'd not be able to get anywhere near my quote but was talking to general salesmen rather than anyone in fleet which may have been the issue.

I can't remember as the lease started 3 1/2 years ago :-) I'll check if I've got email from them. You won't get that price now as it was a run out on the old but facelifted E class.

Most have gone. The one or two who remain are quite open.
But since lease deals are very price sensitive only the genuine good deals get a following.

Not true. VWFS are buggers for that sort of thing!

I had extra mileage added to both our Golf R's and it worked out at 3ppm on both. 10k added to one and 20k added to the second.

we've been around that one a few times before. It just tends to end up being a pest as they can never find a satisfactory level of involvement in the thread, and the deals often are crap so it's just annoying noise.

that looks like a rear-loaded 1 year PCP deal to me? not saying its not a good deal though.

I was also quoted 12 weeks delivery but I was flexible on colour (5DR DSG) so I got mine in 3 weeks from placement of order.
