Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol II)
Discussion
Hi all,
When placing the order for my lease and subsequent dealings, I found that my experience direct with dealers was better than that of lease brokers, as well as obviously avoiding any fees.
With my current lease due to end in October and the search beginning for a replacement, I was wondering if anyone had contact details for anyone they've dealt with at BMW, Mercedes or Audi directly? Not entirely sure what to replace my R with yet but it would at least mean I can go off and do my research and then just e-mail/call with my exact requirements, hopefully allowing everything to go as smoothly as with the last.
Thanks in advance!

I always take the approach of using lease brokers/search to get the lowest price I can, and ring a few for proper quotes. When placing the order for my lease and subsequent dealings, I found that my experience direct with dealers was better than that of lease brokers, as well as obviously avoiding any fees.

Then take it to a few local dealers to see if they can get anywhere near it. In my experience Merc and BMW dealers never got even close to the lease broker prices even taking into account fees. I've heard rumours the VW/Audi may match some quotes.... but have never seen it myself. But Simpsons Skoda seem to do some very good deals.
My local VW group won't even do PCH at all... I went in to look at a Golf R and they said "we only do leasing using PCP finance".... er, it isn't a lease then.

Also, my last lease - a Merc E220 - was through a broker £750 initial, and £290/month inc VAT. Financed through MBFS.Then take it to a few local dealers to see if they can get anywhere near it. Not one of the Merc dealers I called could get within £150 of the price.

I can't say that's not true, but you're probably just not getting to the right person and the normal retail guys won't want to pass you on. Even the pretty small VW dealer on The Wirral, owned by Inchcape, has a dedicated lease salesman based in the branch.Which group is it?

Yeah, that's why I thought I'd ask in here as I don't think the general salesmen deal with PCH but rather fleet sales. Even then, I'm guessing one off PCH deals won't do much for them and it's more word of mouth to get details of those who will and those who are competitive, hence asking in here. With PCH gaining traction, figured there are more people coming out of the woodwork in dealing with such enquiries. Then take it to a few local dealers to see if they can get anywhere near it. Had the same thing just before ordering my R, local dealer said they'd not be able to get anywhere near my quote but was talking to general salesmen rather than anyone in fleet which may have been the issue.

It's worth checking the maths. VAG excess is usually 7.2ppm inc VAT.
Anecdotal evidence says you can phone VWFS at least 12months before the end of the lease and add the extra mileage at a reduced excess rate.
Not true. VWFS are buggers for that sort of thing!Anecdotal evidence says you can phone VWFS at least 12months before the end of the lease and add the extra mileage at a reduced excess rate.

So many brokers pretending to be customers/forum members on here.
And this is a problem because...?More the merrier, if the deal is no good no one will go for it.

Always make sure the car you are hoping to lease is not about to get replaced.
It can be worth waiting a further month or two if possible to save a good amount once the new model appears.
Strange! I would always say the reverse! Run out of an existing model usually attracts discounts and the manufacturer usually improves the spec too imeIt can be worth waiting a further month or two if possible to save a good amount once the new model appears.
