Like you, I'm not sure why footballers are the focus for a cheap AMG GT.
Maybe because there is more chance of the car getting publicity through them driving it rather than just you and I driving it.https://twitter.com/VIPmerc?ref_src=twsrc%5Egoogle...
Never knew so many footballers cars were sponsered by Merc....

.....because HUKD is populated by boneheads! This is another GREAT deal for an R. Not a long way off the cheap deals from April.

That is a good deal, considering that DSG is standard on the estate and with the upgraded MY2016 spec, it is better equipped with NAV, Heated seats, App connect. Better deal almost than my 64 plate Golf R http://www.horizonvehicleleasing.co.uk/personal-le...

It's obvious from the cars offered - which premiership footballer is going to take a 1.6 CLA on a 4yr /10K mile deal?
Good price for an S7- https://www.contractcars.com/car-leasing/audi/s7-s...
I'm waiting for it to be £500 pm (averaged over the period) then I might go for one.

Can anyone shed any light on insurance for lease cars?
I get the registered owner of the vehicle is the finance company but there seems to be a lot of conflicting advice as to who is the registered keeper.
Some say I will be as I am keeping the car, others say the V5 goes to the finance company and they are the keeper.
Half the results on comparison sites don't appear if I put down the finance company as the owner and keeper.
Thanks,
Craig

Depends on the finance company. However, the majority of personal leases have the finance company as the registered owner and registered keeper. The contract that you sign should state this. If not, have a look at any information relating to parking tickets, speeding fines etc. - if it states that they'll forward the fine to you (usually with an admin fee), then that indicates that the finance company is the registered keeper.I get the registered owner of the vehicle is the finance company but there seems to be a lot of conflicting advice as to who is the registered keeper.

In my experience, who the registered is has no bearing on insurance premiums/results.
My new leased Smart Gateway said I was the keeper and Mercedes the owner.
When I called for my 7 day free insurance I asked was that correct she said yes.
Car delivered - piece of paper said Mercedes the keeper, so I called Mercedes Exeter where it came from, lady said they are both keeper and owner.
Called back insurance Smart insurance to say needs to be changed, they said no that's wrong I'm definitely the keeper of a leased car but will make a note, called back the dealer...another lady this time said I am the keeper and her colleague was wrong, keeper on their bit of paper means they own it!!
I am keeping it as me as the keeper as have the damn thing.
Answer seems to be nobody knows! I've done all I can to get it right.

There is no 'registered owner' - the only thing registered with the DVLA is the keeper. So the finance company is the registered keeper in pretty much every case. Straightforward, surely?I get the registered owner of the vehicle is the finance company but there seems to be a lot of conflicting advice as to who is the registered keeper.
