My main dealer is able to offer a 2+23 5k per year

£497.78 initial
248.89 per month INC VAT

All through volkswagen financial services (they are funding this by 35% apparently)

7.2p per mile excess capped at 60000 miles (over 60k miles it doubles... but that would be impressive in 2 years!)
Did you go for this deal? CVL are £700 cheaper and that's taking into account their admin fee.

Would any dealer be able to match this?
Call up a few local ones and ask. Make sure you speak to the fleet sales guys though, retail chaps will scratch their head and offer a pcp quote unless they're clued up on leasing

Does the Seat sat nav do post code entry now?

So tempted - its a lot of car for the money, the only thing putting me off is that I stopped to consider MPG and how many times a week I'll be filling up.

Is it that great a deal? If you add on £720 for an extra 10000 miles it's £264pm all in. It's not a bad deal, however it's not 'amazing' in my opinion. If it was DSG, then I might change my mind, but this adds another £30pm to the equation. Golf R estate at £268 is more appealing, plus insurance is considerably higher on the Cupra, for me anyway!

Did you post where the Golf R deal was from? All the ones I've found are coming in £15+ per month more (eg horizon/central etc)

Someone else posted it, it was from Bedford VW, the same guy that was doing the deals on the previous R Estates.

Nick.kealy@vindisgroup.com, just ordered a white Golf R estate from him.
New build comes with nav and winter pack
1500 deposit with 215 per month (inc Vat)
2 years and 10,000 miles a year.
He reckons that reducing the mileage does nothing to price, hopefully should get a build date next week ??
Curious to know if it drives massively different than my R hatchback...

That really is a cracking deal IMHO. What colour options did you have (white or black I assume)? Is the excess mileage on that deal 6p+VAT?

Best company I've found so far for R deals, DSG (5dr) is Vehicle Savers. Drafting up my email and giving them a call on Monday to secure close to 235-245 pm.

Overall cost here is (9m ID, 2YRS, 10K)

360+2217.06+(246.34×23) = £8242.88

Challenge a cheaper quote?

Maybe I am missing something, but that's an amortised £351, which is very uncompetitive compared to the deals over the last 5 or so pages. The Golf R Estate (also DSG) is coming it at around £270-90 amortised.

Can you explain that? Ie how do you work out the amortisation?

Add up all costs for the entire term, including fees. Then divide that total by {number of months}.

White or red are the colours available, I considered night blue but could not justify the extra for a car I wouldn't' own...
- and yes 6p + vat per mile

8248.22/23 = 358.62 - correct me if I'm wrong

How is the estate amortised so much cheaper!?

As has already been said: the price for the Golf R at vehiclesavers is not the cheapest - the Golf R Estates at Horizon and G2L are quite a bit cheaper.

Cheaper still from some dealers. It's all been covered in the last 3-4 pages, not sure why people are still asking for Golf R deals, the best current deals have been posted several times already.
