Best Lease Car Deals Available? (Vol II)
Discussion
Yeh no the estate look is definitely not us at the minute. No kids and nothing major to lugg about. What we want is a small, quick car that looks like a closet rocket.
Estate to me say everything other than the above. I know I'm not the only person on PH that feels this...the exceptional deal for the R Estate does make the hatchback deal pale in comparison, however I'm isolation the deals for the hatch are still vastly worth it for a close to £32k car

Can you add options i assumed all the estate deals were prebuilt and sitting in a field somewhere
"The ones through Bedford VW are factory orders. Here's what Nick said from the dealership; From what I can see these are not models on the shelf but for new models.
Our quotation system shows (NAV) in brackets and if you select the non nav model it doesn’t qualify."

Quick questions:
- from what I can tell all I'd need to sort are GAP insurance and actual insurance for me and my girlfriend on the R once delivery is done. Is there anything else you'd recommend as I've seen Tyre Insurance, Cosmetic Insurance etc which will add money to the monthly payment
- what kind of options would be required on the R, from what I've read the stock R is pretty decent
None of the above are essential IMHO. GAP is also optional, but many take it out judging by the posts on this forum. If you take GAP search around for the best deal.- from what I can tell all I'd need to sort are GAP insurance and actual insurance for me and my girlfriend on the R once delivery is done. Depending how messy you are then rubber floor mats and a boot liner help. Just remove the day the car is inspected for return and it'll look like new. But even that's not essential. The wear and tear inspection process is quite fair.

That deal no longer exists. I spoke to them on the 1st and it was no longer available (I wonder if it ever actually existed) the revised figure was £2,400 deposit and £409 per month!
I've got one on order through them. Ordered last week.£1000 deposit and £350/month (added a couple of options) so they did exist.
All documents show Lex on them.

My strategy for the next couple of days will be asking Lancaster VW, Contract Hire and Leasing and a local dealer who I saw yesterday to see if they can match my lowest current quote.
What are you trying to save - £5 a month or something? Match a quote? I'm sorry, and no disrespect, but I just don't get why for such measly differences you'd risk it. Go back to the last R Estate deals in April and dozens missed out because they:a) wanted to do everything by email instead of picking up the phone
b) kept trying to save £1.50 per month by chasing various dealers

Any good deals on ANYTHING electric or PHEV? Just realised I can add £40-60 a month to my budget if it's Congestion Charge exempt.
Leaf, Outlander and 300h look decent value.https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/congestion-charge...
I'm all for helping people and enjoy dipping into this thread.
BUT............. there are some seriously dim people joining PH at the moment and if they asked the sort of questions they are on her in the real world they'd get some seriously short replies.
Have a look at yourselves, read the thread title and use your brain if you have one.

You're right which is why I intend to price match on one quote and do the deal tomorrow over the ringer.a) wanted to do everything by email instead of picking up the phone

Mine through Nationwide Vehicle Contracts is also a Lex lease. And hopefully arrives this week, since it's at the dealer now apparently

I have been over cautious in my approach because this is the first experience in leasing foe me so wanting to be meticulous.
There's been quite a bit of duplication / misinformation given to me (mainly based around estate deals which I care little for based on my current circumstances) which I've tried to make clear as people are just blindly giving advice relating to them and not reading MY previous posts / requirement. I understand there's plenty of requests here but painting mine with a broadly correct brush doesn't cut it and hence why I've managed to rustle a few feathers including yours. Again, probably another long time PHer who has failed to read MY posts and jumped to an unjust conclusion based on an overall feel.

I'm afraid I agree that there do seem to have been a lot more posts recently that appear (rightly or wrongly) to think that this is a facility where they can have their individual requirements specifically answered....
I myself may be wrong, but I believe this is a thread for people to share information about leasing deals that seem to be particularly good value.
Yes, its a long thread, but even if only half of it is read, a new user will be able to get a very good feel for
whats a good deal,
what cars are available,
what the various terms mean,
what suppliers/brokers regularly have good deals,
etc etc...
Hope this helps...

Vehiclesavers just quoted me £268 inc on a 3&23 3dr Golf R, inc DSG, Metallic, Nav & Winter pack.
I have completed paperwork in hand for the Leon, but also spoke to Leaseplan this morning (who I'm currently with) and they say there's a S3 deal due out today..........
I'm getting dangerously close to snoozing & losing

Yours is through Vanarama isn't it? The deal on that webpage (which doesn't exist now - wonder if it ever did) would have been slightly cheaper but that may have been for one car in stock in a non-metallic colour or something.

The offer price was based on a standard car with no options and 5k miles. Although this price was still being advertised, they only had 6 vehicles (from memory) available, all with various options and therefore all more expensive.
