I enquired about the vanarama deals a week ago.
The offer price was based on a standard car with no options and 5k miles. Although this price was still being advertised, they only had 6 vehicles (from memory) available, all with various options and therefore all more expensive.
Ah, cheers - interesting to see this sort of feedback. Vanarama don't put the mileage allowance for each deal on their website, so far as I can see.

yes I always feel that their site comes across as being informative, but cleverly leaves out important points. Having said that, I have to be fair that they were very responsive to email requests for info.

Vehiclesavers just quoted me £268 inc on a 3&23 3dr Golf R, inc DSG, Metallic, Nav & Winter pack.

I have completed paperwork in hand for the Leon, but also spoke to Leaseplan this morning (who I'm currently with) and they say there's a S3 deal due out today..........

My Polo GTI 5DR DSG is £230pm 10k PA. On that basis I would take the Golf R deal and run.

Sorry for the (maybe obvious) question.

Im looking at going in for the CVL Leon Cupra deal (was about to order a Ibiza Cupra on PCP anyway but the Leon is cheaper!!)

Other than the pure financial aspect of going for the higher initial payment for lower monthlies, Is there any other reason if there is an option to take a lower initial?
EG more likely to get approved etc

S3, Golf R or Leon. Is there really a bad one there? I think all 3 are fantastic cars.

Keep us updated regarding the S3 deal. I have submitted the paperwork on the S3 deal from end of last week from vesource and awaiting credit checks.

If a better S3 deal came out am I likely to get penalised for cancelling an order that I have submitted paperwork for?

Just signed up for this, was about to get the same car a month ago. Same deal was £300pm without metallic paint a month ago so £268 is good.

I'll get the app connect option as well most likely.

Also waiting for a quote back after calling them on Friday afternoon.

The website offered 2000 + 23 x 109, at those rates its not to far away from 1 + 23 x 195 - both circa 4500 + vat.

The interior of the 290 isnt as good as a Golf, but the exhaust seems to sound better.

Hope this is not directed at me.

I have been over cautious in my approach because this is the first experience in leasing foe me so wanting to be meticulous.

There's been quite a bit of duplication / misinformation given to me (mainly based around estate deals which I care little for based on my current circumstances) which I've tried to make clear as people are just blindly giving advice relating to them and not reading MY previous posts / requirement. I understand there's plenty of requests here but painting mine with a broadly correct brush doesn't cut it and hence why I've managed to rustle a few feathers including yours. Again, probably another long time PHer who has failed to read MY posts and jumped to an unjust conclusion based on an overall feel.

Maybe you don't realise, but you're coming across a bit of a tt. Sorry.
People on here are sharing deals out of a personal interest and sharing good deals. They contribute to the debate and are helping others. You come across like; "Here's MY problem, someone go out of YOUR way to find ME a good deal, for free, with nothing in it for you". Would you do the same for others?

You do realise it's not their "job" to give you advice? But it is your job to validate and make your own decisions. If you want someone to make a decision for you, pay someone!

To practice what I preach, here's what I've signed up for:
- Mini Cooper S 5dr
- Chili and Media Packs, rear parking sensors
- 10k PA
- 3 x 23
- Maintained
- £211 inc VAT

For me this is a good deal. Was in competition with the Polo GTI, which came in at £220 with the same conditions and terms - albeit slightly lower spec (no Nav, electronic climate or streaming bluetooth).

Mini through Ridgeway mini Hampshire, VW through All Vehicle contracts.
They didn't have any links on their website and I spoke to them directly.

Hope it helps someone.

If your car is stolen/written off and you don't have gap, you would lose your deposit. In some instances you would still lose your deposit even if you did have gap!

Deposit? The initial payment isn't refundable. Now I've never leased but I've yet to read anything that says the initial payment is anything other than that, an initial payment. You don't get any money back.

Mini deal sounds good, what's the excess mileage charge?

I spoke with leaseplan go this morning my current Golf r 3dr manual with metallic and 19's is through them on a 3+23 @287inc. The lady I spoke to thought an S3 5dr manual would come in at £20 per month more.
Regarding the Leon vs Golf vs S3 debate...
The Golf r is a cracking car but is seems every low life scum bag out there is trying to Rob them. Just have a search through the forums. I personally have been burgled twice and a close neighbour had his front door kicked in at 6pm on a Saturday evening whilst he was at home by 3 x balaclava'd muppets demanding his keys. Purely for this reason I wouldn't have another!

I am currently signed up for £325 per month on a 3+23 for an S3 S Tronic + Metallic paint on 8k miles and no fees. Sounds more competitive than leaseplan based on those high level figures.

I could save £400 over the term going for the vehicle savers Golf R DSG but I prefer the interior of the S3 and quite fancy getting a new (facelift) model.

I'm all for helping people and enjoy dipping into this thread.

BUT............. there are some seriously dim people joining PH at the moment and if they asked the sort of questions they are on her in the real world they'd get some seriously short replies.

Have a look at yourselves, read the thread title and use your brain if you have one.
