Doesn't seem to work for personalised plates, can anyone else confirm?
Mine is a private plate and picks it up but I tried another with a private plate and it didn't.
Mines in a normal format Two letters, two numbers and three letters and the other one isn't so perhaps it's that.
Same here, works for my private plate, 2 letters, 2 numbers, 3 letters.

I did wonder why they failed the car for things I asked them to fix when I took the car in....

This is a great new thing to play around with; just checked my old S2 Exige and it was last mOT'd at 100k miles!

Sad to see many of my old cars haven't (legally) been near a road in years, and may not exist any more as a complete car.

Great to see my old Escort Cosworth gained a years ticket for a year between 2014 and 2015, after not having one for seven years ...... Thought C6 SYY was dead and buried*

  • = accept that maybe it's now cloned onto a stolen car by someone less scrupulous than a PHer.

Just checked my Father in laws car, as I knew it was approaching 190k, turns out he did 195k by the mot in May!

Not bad for a Golf, but the DVLA seems to think its a Polo, at least that's what it comes up as smile

My old car which is sat on the drive hasn't been mot'd for 3 years, I thought it was way longer than that.

I've been attempting to track down my old car for years using its reg, which results in nothing through the vehicle enquiry service, which can't even find the car. However, this MOT history service can find the car and shows it had an MOT in February. Is there anything useful I can do with the MOT test number? I thought perhaps I could get the garage from the number and then give them a call to see if they'd pass a message onto the current owner.
