Doesn't seem to work for personalised plates, can anyone else confirm?
One of mine works (goes all the way back to the first MoT).Other one I changed this year only has the most recent record. I think the garage mentioned that they couldn't find the previous details.
Both in the same format: 1 letter, 1 number, 3 letters.
All bar one of my cars are still alive! My Corsa I sold 11 years ago with around 55,000 miles on the clock is amazingly still going now with 65,000 miles on the clock. It was brought by a daughter for her mum as it had power steering! I even left the 6x9s in the rear shelf for he...!

Interesting... my old '03 WRX I sold in 2011 went from 156K miles in 2014 to 101K miles in 2015.
Was it an import? Testers sometimes mix up miles and km. For example 156K km = 97K miles, so 101K miles the next year is possible. If we're going for lengthy lists then check out my old Mk1 Golf (no longer in my possession).

Nice to see our family car from the 1970s is still running.
Sad to see the demise of one of my family's car from the 90's."Nearside Rear Vehicle structure has excessive corrosion which adversely affects braking or steering".
It went for another 2 years after that
Then
"front chassis slight corrosion cross member corroded and holed not within 12" of prescribed area".
