Hi PHers,

I've had my baby stolen from outside my home in Bromley, BR1 area, last night, Oct 26th 2015.
Already in touch with police and BMW but please help spread the word.
If anyone sees this beauty, please contact the police on 101 or email me at martina.hristova@rocketmail.com

Thank you!

I live in Sydenham, and work from Catford Bus garage on Bromley Road, so I'll keep a look out.

Hope you get it back.

Absolutely gutting.
Will keep an eye out for her in South East London Blackheath/Lewisham area for you although Im guessing she's probably out of the area by now.

Sorry to hear that OP.

Was it a keyless theft or did they take the keys?

Scums took the key from inside my house (my bad for not hiding it, was doing it for a while when I first got the car).
BMW are being funny about "privacy reasons" and not being able to ping it unless they are called from inside the car. Waiting for police to see if they can override that.
A lot of people are saying it might be parked around the corner and thieves are leaving it for a week to see if it's got a tracker before they move it on. So I'm hoping someone might spot it!
Thanks for the support, much appreciated.

Ah right.

I would be going fking ballistic at BMW - a really poor show. Will a crime reference get things moving?

I'm still unable to figure out who/what number to contact. If anyone knows the right number/department it would be much appreciated. So far BMW have said they are unable to do it as it is illegal, i.e. hacking the car!

Its your car and it was taken illegally FFS. If you have a crime number give them tha and see what they say.

From the website:
If you wish to talk to our Customer Service Department please contact us on: 0370 5050160

Also there is a BMW assist website which shows an app you can use on a mobile to locate your car. Might be worth a shot?

I can't get my head around that if you're the registered owner and keeper e.t.c. i.e. no question it's your car, they can't ping it.

I'd be making noises along the lines of if you don't help me its the last BMW I or my family will ever buy.
See if they'll ping it and pass the location to the Police.

The one on here stolen last week was located by BMW assist, as have been quite a few more that i've heard of through forums. If you want to progress this then I would advise you to get the policeman allocated to your case to ring them with you present to ask for the location. I think a guy on e90post did this and then they located his car for him.

If I was you I would be making my way to the police station so that someone could do it ASAP.

A few years back, I bought a 330i convertible & one of the requirements for the insurance was to have a Tracker. For the sake of a few hundred quid, I'm surprised more people don't have them.
