Which car from your past do you wished you could have stored
Discussion
Completely restored 1974 Porsche 914 1.8...just needed the engine/transmission dropped back in. Literally gave it away back in the winter of 2000/2001.
1987 BMW 325e, absolutely perfect condition in every way, Dinan chip and Ansa Cat back exhaust, otherwise stock. Traded it in because I wanted something faster.

My laser green 205 GTi 1.6 had the most sentimental value (being my first quick car) and was in fine fettle cosmetically but with 170k on the clock, a bit knackered mechanically
Also, when we parted company, it wasn't looking too hot, as it had an altercation with a New Forest pony and the pony won! Would still love a pristine 1.9 though.
Probably my white 1990 BMW 325i Cabriolet then, my first "grown up" car. That car was in lovely condition and on BMW cross-spokes like this one. Only 2 owners from new and less than 100k. I stupidly PXed it for a rather ratty Corrado VR6 for 1600 pounds back in 2006. Silly boy! H237 DFG if I recall. I wonder if you're still out there?

Bought in quite sorry condition with minor frontal damage, interior in shreds. I have lost count of how many e30s I have owned over the years, somewhere between 30 and 40 with at least 8 convertibles, keep trying to give them up!
Currently has just over 130k on the clock, I replaced the cloth interior with black leather, and have done a lot of tidying up. The car is currently in for a light body restoration, new front wings and a bit of welding but not that much it's still very sound, full respray in original Alpine White 2, should have it back in 2 weeks and can't wait.
Apart from the leather the only mod is the fitting of an M-tec 2 steering wheel which I salvaged from the wreck of Richard Hammond's Top Gear Challenge e30 convertible (the one with poo in it)! Oh and a genuine BMW radio cassette.
Can you tell me anything else about the car's history?
1) 2002 Ford Puma 1.7 - Low mileage, full Ford history, perfect condition other than bubbling rear arches. Sold in 2010 far too cheap.
2) 1999 Honda Accord Coupé 2.0 - It was in better than new condition. Absolutely perfect in every way, you could tell it had been looked after and would keep going forever. Great sounding engine, too. IMO it was the epitome of Honda over-engineering... Every control/button felt mechanical and perfect. Sadly it didn't have enough headroom for me and I lost out badly when selling it.
Both of the above are no longer MOT'd which is a bit heartbreaking

The first car I ever bought: a 1974 Porsche 914. A mid-mounted 2.0 litre boxer four with fuel injection. The targa top stows in the rear boot (there's also a boot in front).
When I paid the man, the car had not run in 10 years. I spend the summer fixing it up -- mowing lawns to pay for parts as well as the use of a mate's garage.
The first time we managed to get it started... it burst into flames.
This photograph is not my car. However, my car looked identical to this one.

This Mk1 Golf GTI Pirelli I picked up in 2000 that was imported from Germany by a LHD Porsche dealer down Saltash way.
43,000km on it. It was like new. Problem was I bought it to use it, but felt bad everytime I did so had to sell it as I could hardly afford to run 1 car let alone 2 at the time! Looks like it was exported back to a LHD country in 2003
