Are these Vloggers just a scam? SOL or Shmee etc???????
Discussion
Are the 10 UK cars going to be LHD too?
I'm just not feeling why there's so much hype over the Ford GT. 2wd V6 turbo with standard supercar power and what seems to be a hugely wide car with very little cabin space.
Is it just the limited run that's making people fall over themselves to apply for the chance to own one? The opportunity to flip it quickly for a tidy profit?
The previous version from around 2006 seems to be holding up well and selling for north of £250k and they're notorious for being unreliable and extremely thirsty. Not sure why they're worth so much either.
Anyway, still looking forward to Shmee posting videos of the build up and collection. Same goes for the 675LT spider although I have a feeling the colour choice may be a terrible, terrible mistake with that one. Purple is very 1970's kit car, not really much love for it these days.
I enjoy his videos and the other Vloggers, get to see some good car related stuff and if a particular video seems a bit crap I just fast forward through it. Can't complain about having more car tv and it's great to see people making a bit of money from it and enjoying life in general.

I'm still not quite sure how the hell he even affords these cars as youtube can't be paying that much! I'm also guessing he doesn't work in Tesco as he's too busy making videos.
Tim does very nicely from youtube: http://socialblade.com/youtube/user/shmee150He also has significant other business income, that he somehow fits in between his Shmee150 commitments. A busy boy is Tim.

My first guess is that I am not their target audience?
But I have tried to view these youtube channels and i just don't get the 'buzz'.
They originally started as spotters of supercars in and around London and did a fine job of putting the London scene onto a laptop/international audience but they have failed to progress. They drive fast cars and in many cases own them but they are not insightful or controversial. They make the idea of owning a supercar fking boring. Tedious videos of drives into London or inane ste spouted into camera in a traffic jam.
Sorry to diss the youth of today but ........

id rather watch top gear, at least those chaps know how to drive (the 3 amigos not the daft lot theyve brought in), i think ive seen schmees videos once or twice, nothing special, just a youngish bloke reading out the sales brochures of cars. But I have tried to view these youtube channels and i just don't get the 'buzz'.

i doubt anyone thinking of making a purchase would use their reviews? or would they? even still affording a gallardo and an a1 even on finance is more than most "ordinary" jobs will get you, so i suppose theyve done well for themselves, financing is a mugs game though.

In fact at this point I may as well hate car spotting all together if this is what it has become. God knows why anyone with a semi-expensive car would want to drive around london with people like that. God knows why anybody would want to drive through london anyway, quicker on a bike.

What on earth did we just watch. I don't have a clue why anybody would want to take their car there, or be part of a crowd that big. Proper car spotting is about going to your own places, away from crowds and finding things others don't.

A culture which you were once the King of until you got other opportunities and realised it would affect your revenue. The original Pistonheads car spotting group don't take part in any of this, it's offensive.
