Hate to sound like that guy who 'crashed because there was oil on the road' - but my fuel tank fell off causing me to crash at the 'ring, i.e mechanical failure. I would have continued but the tank got stuck between the floor and the rear subframe at 100mph lifting the car up and sending it spinning.

I wouldn't be so eager to get back if I had simply ran out of talent. Maybe I'll meet my maker in April, who knows. I'm willing to find out though, all be it somewhat safely as it's a trackday.

They should be on a God given mission as most of them clearly don't need the money as they have ample trust me (if any if them are reading) you have ample. One supercar is more than enough. I'd happily tax you all 99% as PM considering people literally starve and are homeless in this very first world country.

Luckily I'm not.

But seriously why are they doing it then if they are already well off?
But that's exactly why, because they can.

If you haven't got to worry about some of the more mundane things in life and you could use that as a springboard to drive about in cars all day then why wouldn't you ? In most cases these are lifestyle businesses plain and simple.

And yes if I could then I would too !

TGE seems to have deposits down for 812 SF, 720S and Hurucan P
Why not? I doubt if he will lose any money on them and he seems good in doing business.
I never said he shouldn't lol. I was typing from iPad so didn't expand. However if he actually gives through with purchasing all 3 he will have the most epic garage next to Shmee in terms of the British YouTubers. That'll be the above 3 cars + F12 and he seems to be hinting he's got an SVR coming.

Although I'm not sure he's technically a YouTuber. He's putting out some high quality content but they're all just 3-5 minute snippets of self-promotion more than anything actually informative. However out of the bunch I like him as he seems not take himself as seriously.

Me and a mate were discussing this topic recently and we both agreed that none of these folk can actually drive so it's sort of irrelevant that they own nice cars it's sort of like having a 12 inch penis and being a Virgin.

Yeah the point isn't to watch expert drivers. None of the Top Gear presenters can drive. It's about making entertaining content.

DannyDC2 - you were talking about collecting bumper from down south. Check out Shipley.com

No connection but used before and large stuff is quite cheap to move around.

Also, YouTube vlogs aren't some television drama with a complex storyline, you don't have to watch them all.
I agree that they don't have to have deep and complex storylines but the way YouTube currently pays out (and btw this is going off what Youtubers report) it's all about viewer minutes. That's because YouTube want to present itself as a Netflix type platform where you go on everyday and not just get a 5 minute hit of cats doing cute stuff or a chap playing the tuba behind an amply sized gentleman but 30 - 60 minutes of consecutive watching.

Let's face it although in the UK it hasn't launched YouTube Red (a paid subscription) is a thing.... Tim can you talk about if you've been approached for content if they launch that service over here. That would change the content for a lot of the guys were talking about in this thread.

Tbh I reckon I'm hitting 20 - 30 minutes a day as although it's not super high end content a bit like having radio 5 live in the background it's interesting to hear what Tim, Jackfrags or Casey Nesistat Etc have to say about cars, gaming or life?

Of course there's the exceptions like Casey's stuff or a tech chap called Marques (MBKHD) their content IMO had/ has a really high end production value but at the end of the day if the content is poop the video is poop I.e. unboxed therapy

Doubt it as a few checks would confirm that I'm not this him you keep referring to.

I don't think it really matters in all honesty. All I did is list my subscription list and somehow you lot have added two and two together and come up with 5. Baffling!

I don't see why you hate the chap so much anyway - all because he was trying to promote himself on a thread full of self promotion.

It's not that baffling. You listed a subscription for a channel that has very few subscribers, shortly after the owner of that channel got banned. You joined shortly after the banning.

You then were quite vocal in defending "him".

You were very quickly able to find (in this 130 odd page thread) the posts about the banning, and comment on the banning.

So either you are one of a tiny number of subscribers who happened to join at exactly the right moment then found this thread then found the relevant posts and you are who you say you are, or well, the other thing.

He who shall not be named does seem like a bit of a nobhead. Doesn't seem to have a lot of good to say about anyone in this thread at least, also had a go at one of my friends who's also a YouTuber for no reason at all if its the same guy.

Life must suck to feel the need to be so nasty to people, kinda feel sorry for the guy.

Of course it's no news that the internet gives these people a platform to spread their hate through a keyboard, I just hope they see the error of their ways one day and cheer the f*ck up.

I don't particularly enjoy the supercar stuff, so I don't watch it. I don't feel the need to go say nasty things about people on the internet. spin

Where is the love? biggrin

That line of questioning could destroy months of psychiatric therapy.
