I can't understand all this criticism of someone simply providing an entirely optional service which people subscribe to and that makes them a lot of money. These guys aren't clogging up our TV channels and they're not harming or insulting anyone. I fail to see the problem.

I like Shmee's videos precisely because they are about the daily "grind" of owning and using nice cars.

He does not pretend to be an expert, and there are enough videos out there for anyone who wants statistics, on-the-limit driving etc.

He represents one version of what it might be like to have enough money and time to enjoy a set of great cars, in a way living a fantasy many of us might enjoy. He's not going to win any Oscars for his work, but he's not trying to either.

His occasional over-exuberance at the start of his videos can be a little unsettling, but hey... I'm just sitting at a desk while he climbs in and out of supercars!

And whilst we're playing at being two bob Perry Masons you might want to be a bit more precise with your claims as nobody but you has used the words "Bank of Mum and Dad funds the Shmee 150 brand". I talked about leveraging one's position to build a business.

I really have no desire to protract this any further m'notsolearnedfriend as I am now at a loss as to what you want me to say/admit/apologise for.

The statement was in writing. Committing the tort of defamation in writing is libel. Email and statements on the internet are "in writing". Committing the tort of defamation in spoken or other temporary form is slander.
