That being said I'd love for Amazon to pay me silly money just to film myself watching a 1 minute trailer and giggling. And I'd love to have Tim's frankly ridiculous, an ever expanding, car collection so fair play to him, I'm sure a few grumps not liking his tacky on-trend reaction video won't upset him too much.

No, because in this space there's no such phrase! The most spectacular of amateur videos can be posted on YouTube and it's of no negative consequence, the point for my channel is a variety of content around the supercar world but there are no strict rules - I'm not EVO or Autocar creating very textbook formatted video pieces with all the artistic side and so on.Shmee said:

Again as much as I like some of shmee's content I'm not a subscriber because not all of it appeals to me. Get this. The stuff I don't like....i just ignore it! I think it's admirable that he comes on here and defends himself in a decent manner to be honest. I don't see Chris Harris having to defend himself in this way.

In all fairness it could have been worse you looked Like you were getting ready to start dancing at one point I could see the head nodding !From what I've learnt from watching Youtube videos (and reading comments) 'people' seem to go nuts and dislike videos that are ads or paid for. (I think) It's cos it generally looks a little contrived and it's a sort of 'yeah well they paid you to say that' sort of thing. But people do seem to overreact. It's no wonder youtubers mention in the title, description and several times in the video that it's an ad. There's a well loved american YT chef with which I've followed and watched his videos for years, he always gets praised. Yet in a recent (paid for) video he was getting slated. What was it for? how he likes to cook instant mashed potatoes.
Some people are overly critical and riduclous. it was clearly mentioned it was an amazon promotion, it doesn't mean that he's now jumped ship and is going to start making reaction videos of the next power rangers movie trailer etc. At least he got it out in the open with his title, description and his explaination in the first few seconds of the video. Nobody made you have to watch the entire sub 7min video.
It's almost as if nobody has never done an ad in their life!

Neither of them have to defend themselves on here. It's their choice. Both actively invite criticism and ask for ''likes'' or ''to subscribe'' so negative comment is every bit as relevant as the positive and shouldn't be taken as a personal attack.JoeMarano said:
