I've been on a few events with Sam from STG and he's a genuine decent chap with a real passion for cars.

If you don't like how he comes across in his videos I suggest you avoid them and get on with your lives. It's that easy.
Good advice.

Having just watched my first STG video I will gladly avoid them in future and continue getting on with my life.

Tim, what this has to do with the topic is the youtubers and the sort of absolute morons that follow you guys around with no respect for peoples property. Surprised a supposedly educated man cannot figure that out.
I completely disagree with this point in every possible way.

The people who follow me and my contemporaries are those who are keen and enthusiastic about cars, these are absolutely not the people who would disrespect them. The people who I experience falling into these categories (and remember I've attended more than enough PH Sunday Services, Goodwood Breakfast Clubs and so on myself) are those who aren't quite as enthusiastic and just 'turn up'.

I said 'you guys' as in car youtubers. I have seen one of lord aleems videos where the followers have no respect for him, his space or his cars. If you get nice treatment, then great but I am sure if seen you write you have had similar issues at car shows.

Whilst I can understand the point you're trying to make, I don't think you can vouch for every single one of your "followers"....

You embrace them as people who fund your pursuits, I'm afraid it's highly likely that you're embracing some tts within their numbers.

Us mouth breathers understand Shmee....
We're clearly not as immensely educated as MrJW here.

Because being immensely well educated and being a tt are famously mutually exclusive.

Don't let it stop you.

I've met a few people, and they are all pretty nice, the average guys you and me.
I think the problem is the Youtube supercar celebrities.. :-) not the average PH'er.

That being said, I think there is an air of pompus and powerfully built director types. You just need to listen to a few of the conversations said between people. I overheard someone saying that the Clubsport S (someone had brought one...well, there were 2 actually!) wasn't "any good" "because it's FWD".... LOL.

But that's the minority rather than the majority.

QM You are fantastically missing the point and need to wind your neck in, do you have an issue with well educated people now? Unless I've missed a joke somewhere.

JW77 I am a subscriber to Shmee's (and others) channels and don't consider myself a moron - I'm in my early thirties, respect other people's property and wouldn't dare climb on or otherwise damage someone's car. That's a ludicrous assumption.

What's funny about that? That's purely a personal car preference.

umm no... I'm not
I haven't suggested anyone here would damage or behave in an anti-social way.
However I also don't subscribe to the suggestion that every/most of the STG/Shmee150's followers are uneducated and either expect to sit in someone else's car or damage it.
I subscribe to the channels too...

So my neck doesn't need winding anywhere thank you, I haven't missed the point.
The point missed by JW is that EVERY group or demographic has amongst their number, fine upstanding, average, normal, objectionable and plain unlikable types.

Suggesting that somehow it's the "youtube" group that are the only morons wandering around car parks is plain wrong.

If I don't like something I say , I can appreciate it's a great car but it's not to my personal tasted rather than to say a car, which clearly is very good, isn't.

Further to the above, if it's not a SUPERCAR which GETS THEM VIEWERS then STG doesn't car.
Many snobby people are the same.

For me one of the best cars is that guys Focus estate that he built that looks like a 1.6 tdci. Much more interesting than me to a Lambo. But to the average visitor... "why is that tatty focus here"

Are you talking about the same STG that has bought and made several videos about his own Abarth 695?

Hmm, fair enough.

My point is still valid though, and likewise I'm sure for you. Most of your views follow you for the supercar lifestyle, not the supermini reviews.

In general yes, I use my Focus RS an awful lot but obviously when I make videos or post photos with it, they are of less interest to the audience than the moment you add a supercar.

I'm not sure it's really choice though. I mean he needed a daily runabout as he can't afford to run his "supercar" with the amount of miles he does.

So he bought abut the flashiest, most exclusive and show-offy cheapish hatch back he could. He then makes vids abut it because he's in it everyday and expected to upload daily, he sort of has to.

I'd better money he'd rather be making another vid about CRAZY LAMBOS or whatever.

Someone's car is FAYMUZ. And me. I'm the fat one.

Maybe a feature video.... laugh

On a serious note, that's some bloody cheeky videography, I did not even notice someone there.

Doesn't the Biposto thingy start at 33k? Could have bought a decent hot hatch for that, especially on finance like the Fiat is.
