nd Asda should stock Betamax video players. Their customers don't want them, they won't make any money on them but just... because.
I'm no big fan of Shmee, I'm surprised so many engage with his style but each to their own. But he clearly has a good handle on what his audience want, and consequently what makes him money. Anyone else is free to start a 'competitor' channel focusing on 1980s Astras if they wish.

Say what you like about Mr Shmee he's sussed his audience and how to make the numbers as a result.
Any sub channel he might launch which deviates from this too much is doomed to failure in relative terms given what people have to come to expect of him and his self confessed personal preferences so why would he even consider it ?

Seriously I don't know who did their campaign budget but they must have basically written a blank cheque.
I get that Stratstone advert on any type of video I watch, not just cars. Seriously I don't know who did their campaign budget but they must have basically written a blank cheque.
Who is subscribed to what then?
General car stuff:
Mighty Car Mods - The aussie sense of humor is so relate-able as a Brit! Their feature films and builds are ace.
MotorTrend - Roadkill and Hotrod Garage and the occasional 4x4 builds are cool, not quite gone behind a paywall but content has reduced since they launched their own site.
Speed Academy - some big money builds pretty well documented, Canadians.
Monky London - Drift videos and JDM car reviews, UK based, John likes a duggit
The Webbie Show - BMX lad that does drifting also
Evo - COTY videos are pretty damn cool
Noriyaro - Aussie out in Japan with Drifting vids and cultural stuff.
/Drive - used to be awesome but think it went paywall??? some cracking older videos!
Adam Zillin (7tune) - some awesome Jap street car stuff and track vids, doesn't post often but top stuff
Network A - Chris Fosberg/Ryan Turek drift builds and videos
Bad Obsession Motorsport - get your fabrication geek on, this mini build is epic
Chris Harris on Cars - Some cracking older vids, went to /drive? then new Topgear? Needs to do more Youtube!!!
Driftidiot - cool series, no new content?
BridgetoGantry - Nurburgring stuffs
TaxTheRich100 - arsing about in Supercars
Keep Drifting Fun - more cool drift videos
Dannydc2 - as mentioned earlier, not a bad watch, not a Honda nut but its nice to see all car guys have the same struggles! Rolex Dan is a funny bd.
I have a huge channel list, but some of the others have their quirks, or aren't as polished. As a car nut it does seem that the drifting community has really nailed Vlogs and fun content? There are some good show reels for other car shows but nobody documents their builds as much.

I sub to the usual stuff.
Something a bit different is DemolitionRanch. Mostly about guns, well almost all about guns - clever bloke a vet by day - his vids are like Mythbusters with guns. Also has a side channel for "offtheranch" and "vetranch".
The dude has well over 3M subs over all 3 channels but still makes the majority of his vids on his own.

Like wise, I also just started watching Misha Charoudin (Also plays boosted boris on youtube.) Has some really interesting videos as he works at the 'ring garage doing rental and other services at the Nurburgring, lot of background stuff of what goes on plus a lot of good coverage/access at the various races run there. Funny you should say that, he's just put a post on FB stating that he is no longer part of the Ring Garage group and is looking for other ventures. Be interesting to see where he appears next!

I have a MTOD subscription, since December. They have tons of content on their site (although a lot of the motorsport coverage is geo-limited to US only) but plenty of content from RK, RK Garage, Dirt Everyday, RKG extra and DE Extra, Epic Drives etc. I also sub to:
Mike Finnigan's channel (Finnigan Speed & Marine)
Lucky Costa's (of MTOD) channel 'mobiletechlucky'
SavageGeese (decent car reviews albeit US-centric)
Car Throttle (content seems to have backed off?!)
Harry's Garage
Jay Leon's Garage
The Smoking Tire (Matt Farah from Drive)

My favourites are Mr JWW, Monky London & starting to warm to Seen Through Glass, his filming skills have really picked up.
Subscribed to DannyDC2 the other day, really liking his videos and seems a decent guy!
I still watch SOL every now and again but his content is a bit boring, seems he's just doing videos to help keep up his car payments..
Also watch Jamie FYD, he puts some good content out
