Whilst I am not familiar with Ms. Vickers circumstances, it would be more plausible that a former reality show star would be borrowing money from her 'old money' boyfriend rather than the other way around (if it indeed were the case they were an item).

That chap seems to have his life sorted. I bet he gets tired of girls wanting to suck him off.

Anyone else watch Chris Drift/The Dedication Blog? I don't get time to watch many YouTubers but this chap is definitely one of my favourites. Humble guy, decent fleet (R8, M4, Turbo GT86), and his editing style is clean and simple.
Yes, Dedication Blog is great except when the other one (Simon) comes on talking "business advice" but from what I can tell he doesn't actually have any money, or films as he goes to fiat 500 meets.

How many more years do you think they can keep going? Before Youtubes saturated and the clicks keep going down.

My wifes a teacher and this year she was quite shocked that most of the new years class wanted to be YT stars. The trouble is, alot of them will put a bit of effort into that and slack at school thinking its easy. Missing out on useful skills that might make it work.

Is that specific to youtube though? Didn't the last generation all think the road to riches was easy with X-factor, playing for Man united or winning the lottery?

Its a sad indictment on society when you often see people dreaming of a big house or nice car "when my numbers come up". Its the only avenue they see available to attain the bigger ticket items, which I feel is a shame. You rarely read, "I'm going to be a brilliant plumber and set up my own business and show Pimlico how to do it properly".

Instant gratification is all people tend to seek these days and, not only that, but often see it as the only path to success. The in your face nature of Facebook showing a mix of success stories and many more smokescreens and charades lying about success skew the numbers to make it seem even more prevalent than it is.

Good point, they all think its easy. But not many realise you need a marketable brand and you need to have a little bit of charisma. Alot of them dont realise they just don't sound good.

They say some people have a face for radio, but theres alot (me included lol) that have a voice for printed media.

I've just started watching the Queen_B channel, which seems to me has been a lot of luck with contacts and being attractive.

Shocking and that's the problem with what you just said....if everyone thought like you all that would be on TV would be ste like the only way is Essex/dinner date etc etc

I'm more than happy to watch ugly people if I feel I am getting to watch something interesting or educational. For example that channel you just linked - what am I actually getting out of that that I couldn't get a better kick out of from a porn site? Nothing. So why even bother.

That's always the case. The majority of children always want to grow up to do dead end or statistically impossible jobs. It's only the type of job that changes through the generations.

We had years of teachers telling children not to be so stupid and now we are going through the years of teachers telling them to reach for their dreams. Those without real parents to guide them as per usual stand little chance.

One thing is for sure and thatvis that you cannot lay any blame on the doorstep of YouTube. It is just one of the mediums at this point in time in the endless process of education.

In my opinion YouTube didn't start so people could make money or get rich off of it and if anything it's headed in the direction it should be which is giving anyone a chance to get themselves heard/seen.

It should be about creativity and experimentation and if young uns want to go out and buy a camera that's no bad thing in my opinion. Certainly a better hobby than most have which in this day and age seem to consist of Nandos, Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, ITVBe and general doing nothings.

Do young people even do or have the money to do anything nowadays? It actually seems to be a pretty bleak and boring age to grow up in.

It's the 'everything is free' era. If no one is willing to pay then corporate sponsorship is the only solution.

The simple reason why all these new media become swamped with ads and commercial activity is that they don't charge their end user.

Free things always cost more but the majority of consumers would never understand that.

Free vlogging works for me. The fact that car vloggers can make a decent living from advertising and sponsorship means that we get all this free material to enjoy. In my case I am not even up to date with Grand Tour because my car watching time is committed to the free online stuff. If you like to keep up to date with new car news free online is the way to get it nowadays.

Very true I'm in the same boat!

Also some of it really stands the test of time. Chis Harris doesn't release any new content but he still has more subscribers than seen through glass even with a fraction of the amount of videos.

I still watch his videos even now.

Right so because she is a woman doing car themed content the yardstick for improvement is pornography ?

You sound like a right Michael frankly coming out with crap like that.

I imagine he's bitter that her channel has better content and far more subscribers than his. He's also clearly only very young (I'm guessing about 14 from his replies) so doesn't understand women fully.

And his worrying obsession with this thread (50 odd posts in a couple of weeks....) makes me think he's desperate to achieve Youtube fame himself but has so far failed miserably, unlike the lady he talks about so charmingly smile

Yes because everyone has subscribed due to her knowledge of automobiles.

I subscribed because she has a nice modded E30 and her dad raced cars so seemed she might offer different content then the supercar crew.

Same reason I watch Jamie FYD
