I've started to become a fan of petrolicious. Really good quality filmmaking and by just having a different car owners story each video it doesn't get boring like watching the same person vlog about the same thing every 4 months but with a different car.

It helps that they largely cover retro cars which I find much more interesting (as well as achievable so can see myself driving them) than the latest supercar.

I subscribed because she has a nice modded E30 and her dad raced cars so seemed she might offer different content then the supercar crew.

Same reason I watch Jamie FYD
Same reason i did. Knows a bit as it seems she used to race. And i like her 3 Series.

Same here. The 250 GTO video is just amazing.

At a more affordable level I love the Growler Porsche 964 they featured.

I've never been banned? Channels like this are regularly taken to pieces all over facebook groups. Everyone I know rips the st out of Shmee and co! I thought this was a car enthiusiast site not a bloody fake lifestyle forum.

I won't bother commenting on this thread again as it's obviously just the Supercar owners and the only way is Chelsea fan thread not an actual thread about whether vloggers are a scam (which they are)

MichaelHunt can you advise how they are scamming you or us the public? What are they scamming us out off?

STG I think is following in Shmees direction and diversifying his content. Despite still the '5 things I hate' trite he's also doing some interesting and different videos.

SOL and TGE were both invited to Alfa event in St Moritz. Quite interesting that they invited TGE, 30k subs and I imagine most of his subscribers are there for the high end supercar / watches / fitness and not Alfas.

Similarly Seb Delanney and his random mate got sent to Sweden for an Alfa ice driving event. There was mention that some of the other attendees were 'instagram models' so it looks like they are casting the social media net far and wide.

I'm sure once a car company has spent some money to setup an event for the traditional motoring press then it isn't hugely more expensive to run it for another few days and fly out some obscure bloggers who are more likely to knock out plenty of content and be more glowing in their coverage.

Not all that surprising, why invite SOL/STG/Shmee/SebDelamey to the same event, their subscribers probably overlap a lot. Much better to invite someone who has a toe in the car world but also subscribers from elsewhere to expand your possible viewer base.

I watched one Schmee video, that of Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio.
There was nothing of interest in it, same as all the rest of the videos. So I just went and test drove Giulia QV myself.

The only video I watched several times and still like it is the one with Tiff Needell where he drives Enzo and F1.
Some videos with Jethro Bovingdon of EVO are also nice, I liked the 997 GT2 video, but that's because I like that car, and I like the way Jethro speaks.

Otherwise, why waste time on watching somebody else's experiences and cars one cannot afford?
I rather go drive my cars, or go ride my bikes. If at home, then I rather play CSR2 on my phone, that game provides more "experience" than watching some videos.

Sure.... I'm going to guess your over 50.

Not knocking your opinion but these guys are the Tiffs of today. Motoring Jurnos like Chris Harris who is closer to Tiffs content is an anomaly in a world of iPhone car / lifestyle vloggers. At least Tim keeps his channel to cars and doesn't tell us where he eats every video.

These guys are only the "Tiffs of today" because everyone is too dumb to find the real "Tiffs of today" with 10-20k subscribers.

Instead they have 100-200k subs because their fanbase is compromised mostly of 12 year olds.

So no they aren't the Tiffs of today at all more the "Toffs of today" with their legions of 12 yr old followers that think they like cars.

Of course none are going to buy Alfa Romeo sports cars tomorrow so yes they are a scam to the manufacturers as much as the viewers smile

I see TGE has put a deposit down for an Aventador S. I actually find his video's easy to watch as he doesn't take himself seriously at all and even jokes that he's going to drag the process out as he's now labelled a 'youtuber' and will have lots of clickbait! haha!!

Fair play to him if it's takes in some extra cash then why not, he doesn't seem to care what people think!

Hes certainly the most tolerable of the posh accents. I only subscribed after the exhaust upgrade of his F12

Right so because she is a woman doing car themed content the yardstick for improvement is pornography ?

You sound like a right Michael frankly coming out with crap like that.
Some people just can't think.. that's the bloody problem.
Queen B could probably focus more on the cars and less on herself, but hey.. she's got a bloody E21 so she's OK in my book.
