That's a great video. Sticks his middle finger up to "Pistonheads" and is so pleased with himself he nearly drives into a ditch, what's not to like?

I think he hints in the video one will replace another

Fair play to him that's an exciting year of cars ahead to enjoy and I bet he'll make enough on the GT3 flip to subsidise the others ha ha
With one Cayman Gt4 behind him which speculation says may well have bben flipped at profit how on earth does he get on he approved list for a new GT3 ?

How about this piece of genius in the comments section to one of his subscrbers who comes from a land down under.....

"lightsinthesky10 I also love an aussie following for a few reasons but one being that if you watch the adverts I get almost 5X as much revenue from AUS viewers than UK viewers haha!"

Michaelhunt indeed.

Same way he was able to get on all the stands at Geneva i suppose?

Having a decent following on social media can't hurt his chances?

You may be right but Porsche really do not care who they pee off if a guy with less than 40k subscribers on You Tube, most of whom can't and probably won't ever be able to afford the cars he features, gets a car which is so tightly allocated that people who have bought multiple brand new Porsches over a number of years are being told no chance.

Getting on the stands isn't difficult at all though once you have one of the premium brands/have acess to a set of keys.

Perhaps this 'TGE' character won't get allocated a GT3, as he said it wasn't confirmed. Prob just trying luck on an amazing car, fair play.
And the orders, if you want any of the cars he has coming, have to be placed well in advance which he has done. He's openly said he won't have them at the same time. If the audience want to see it, and he's being honest about placing those orders in a humourous realistic way - why on earth not!
Comments under video seem to be largely positive tbh https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Czgj8vXLIjU

I'd previously not watched many of the YouTubers previously mentioned so I felt I should watch some of them before commenting further.

The "big" names are all boring AF; just constantly gurning on about supercars, which ones to buy, which ones they've ordered...ad nauseam.

The difference between that lot and someone like DannyDC2 is astonishing, IMO. The big names are all selling a fantasy, like Hello or OK! magazines for car folk. It's vacuous bks, I reckon.

For perspective, I can relate easily to the likes of Jay Leno or Harry Metcalfe, because despite the obvious wealth & lifestyle difference between them and me, it's also obvious that it's all about the cars.

There's no "look at me!" aspect with them.

What are people's thoughts on Salomondrin? He's definitely turned into a vlogger now, it's barely about cars any more but he freely admits that (says it's a food vlog now biggrin ).

What's good is that the majority of vids are the vlog stuff, but then he does the Let's Talk About Cars Yo podcast that's also filmed. That gets all the car talk in and is fairly enjoyable.

Find him really funny and enjoyable to watch, and love the podcast. Seems like a cool guy to me would enjoy going for a drink with him.

I used to really enjoy the videos but now I find I'm passing them over to watch something else... Shame really as he's quite funny!

Not watched any of his vids in months - used to watch them all.

Loving Harrys Garage update from the motor show.

SOL now 'buying' another Lambo.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m1b7zEOzSkc&t=...

This video throws up some very interesting questions for me.

Why does Tony hang around? How is he making money from this? http://www.gravelwood.co.uk

All those kids who turned up and greeted him like a celebrity? is this the same as me, meeting Valentino Rossi?

Why are Lamborghini so excited by this press? Are they really going to even sell one more car because of this video?

Have all those people turned up to video a vlogger picking up his new car?

I'm guessing he has a stake in the car and will be the one selling it in future. Seems a bit of a monetary leap otherwise.

TGE has been quite open in stating that the way the orders have been timed he will be going from one car to another - not buying and keeping all of them at the same time. Although he seems to have cancelled his 720s ordered but in the Geneva video appeared quite excited about it again.

Mo Vlogs has sold his 458 after a few months and there's people commenting calling him out on renting it and never actually owning it. It wouldn't surprise me, it's all props for content really. He's also moved in to a 'mansion' now.

I don't quite understand SOL purchasing the Huracan brand new. A second hand one with warranty would have fulfilled the same role in terms of what he intends to use it for (lots of YouTube content) without taking the massive hit in depreciation of a brand new one.

Doesn't he provide the finance for STG and SOL? If so, I would have thought he makes his money from commission paid to him from the finance houses he uses and/or by sourcing cars at a lower price than he sells them at.

Unless of course the dealerships are subsiding it for the publicity? Or a good financing deal therefore new seems more appealing? Either way it's a gorgeous colour combo.
