Not sure if he's considered a vlogger but 'lord' Aleem was bouncing off the rev limiter doing laps around Piccadilly yesterday pm. Every time I walked outside the pub for a smoke he was hammering past revving the white aventador sv. Cringe.
I don't think anyone knows what he is. He started doing his YouTube thing again not too long ago releasing videos everyday That stopped. He appeared to have a minor meltdown on social media recently - every so often deactivates and then reactivates his Twitter and Instagram accounts.

That's the joy/freedom of being that wealthy, he doesn't really need to commit to anything and he's already achieved his end goal of being a social media 'celeb/well known'.
He's had load of meltdowns and not pretty ones, even made it into the daily mail giving abuse to the police. Doesn't seem to be a very nice person, also likes to polish his image by deleting any negative comments off his social networks.

The Aleem/PET rental business model doesn't stack up for many reasons, but I'll just leave this here for your reference...

I guess the "Lord" Aleem is a front for the business, due to this - https://beta.companieshouse.gov.uk/disqualified-of...
which may or may not be linked to this - http://www.thefreelibrary.com/Car+dealer+jailed+fo...

Seems to also have had a run in with the VAT man - https://cases.legal/en/act-uk2-156158.html
which contains some interesting comments on the insurance aspect of the business.

Did he finish his Evora?

He seems to be following my car path. Only with broken ones.
Yes and has been driving it to car meets over some quite long distances!

I suspect the 2J BRZ is a bit of a trial for the aston plus he will have a spare motor in case he needs parts.

He does have a lot of cars though and needs to start to purpose some of them or perhaps do competitions or giveaways or something IMHO. Bit like Rob Spaghetti..

I am loving the BRZ engine swap though, way better project than the mustang which is just a total bodge tbh.

The Aston.... its a great idea but I doubt it will ever happen to the full extent that he is talking of as removing the trans axle and fitting a different gearbox is going to be very very difficult and will require some real serious fabrication which I doubt he has the skills or equipment for. That said I wonder if we will see some sponsors step in and do some CNC work and sheet metal work etc. I can see it costing $50k+ to do what he wants to do though.

On the subject of YouTubers with Astons... I see 'B is for Build' has acquired a V8 Vantage and is planning on dropping in some Japanese engine into it.

Whether this was the same engine he was going to put into one of his BRZs in his previous video, I do not know.

As for his Mustang, despite an "it's finished" video the turbo setup still doesn't appear to actually work yet.

It seems he has too short an attention span to finish off a project and gets distracted by whatever new project he's dreamt up.

(I suspect the problem is that because he doesn't do many vlog style videos we don't get to see him using his fleet of working vehicles, so it looks like he's forgotten about them).
I don't think that's entirely fair on a guy who stood outside working in below freezing temperatures on his first BRZ to replace the engine loom to get it to start.

So far what I've seen he's finished every project, even that Evora, which on it's own PH thread got subjected to the usual PH pessimism.

That Mustang, if you bothered to watch his updates, is awaiting an available slot at a local tuner to get it running. He got laid off his job so why shouldn't he carry on with his only (for now) source of income. The BRZ engine swap is underway and I guess the AM V8 thing was something that popped into his mind when he did one of his many crashed car purchase searches.

The US has a completely different car scene compared to Europe, even the UK has it relatively easy when it comes to cars and modifications (legislation wise), but bearing that in mind, what we view here as bodge jobs is perfectly fine for a daily runner over there.

He has also stated B is for Build is about doing things he hasn't done before, learning by doing and some research. I think it's fun to watch someone take on jobs I wouldn't touch with a 10ft barge pole.

I quite like the guy and though some of his approaches strike me as a bit cavalier (particularly with an eye to safety), I admire his skills and have a go attitude. He certainly has bigger balls and more skills than me and I would love to have the ability to attempt some of what he does.

Not sure I can see any point in an engine swap for a jap engine in an Aston, mind. Also seems a bit of a waste of an enormous space where a monster LS V8 or similar could be stuck. Fair play again though for leftfield thinking.

Lord Aleem , Spend 1 hour on the net and you will see a huge "pattern" of serious crime related to his family . Major drug laundering , fraud etc . So in my world he and his family are nothing but scum . karma will land on his/their head one day .

Shmee - love the new car, a real stunner, but did you ever consider something a little out of the box, I saw suggestions in your YT comments of some really interesting cars, one that caught my eye was another Morgan but their Aero 8 supercar? Does a car like that appeal to you or is it more a case of Aston is a better known brand so would do better on YT? A small company like them would probably even give you a car just for the pure advertisement of someone as well know as yourself driving one and publishing on YouTube!
Well, he previously had one of those Morgan 3 wheeled things and you cant get much more out of the box than that..

danny dc2 is more my kind of guy. gets his hands dirty on cars that are not too far out of reach for mere mortals like me.
whilst any video on any car can have merit , i do get bored with so many supercar vids. deboss garage is another i have just found but with it being canadian , i find it a little difficult to relate to the cars. b is for build appeals to me but i find it diificult to watch the videos in sequence.
i would love to do something on youtube but i reckon it would be for cooking smile i would have nothing new to bring

I wouldn't go as far as saying "usually", however it is far from uncommon through the industry. There are a few "fronts" out there that are solely set up to service the criminal fraternity.

I personally deal with around 1000 different rental businesses, from 5 car courtesy fleets, to 10,000+ fleets. We've been burned a couple of times with rogue businesses over the years, but from within the industry it is now relatively easy for us to identify the outfits where things do not stack up.

But rental vehicles are very popular with criminals, and it's a risk we have to carefully manage and mitigate, and I do spend a fair bit of time with various police teams.

Wait, so I can just pick up a video camera, talk some rubbish about my car and I can then class myself as a YouTuber? Sweet, stardom here I come!

Are you jealous that he got to meet Alex From Peak Performance Reviews AND lend him a wrench?

Ps I'm assuming by "30 something" he means 39 and about 11 months....

new to PH forum, but like youtube posters of all sorts (Sam from STG is a really nice fellow anyway, and SOL too - much younger than me and great to watch) - they're pretty brave to post their content and it's all good? any 718 Cayman S posts to recommend? ps maybe they'll lose their charm as the advertising comes in ...

quite enjoyed the video tour of the mini factory. Made me laugh our Shmee completely ignored and walked past the mk1 BMW mini onto the rest. The noise of the factory didn't suprise me much but I was suprised that nobody was wearing any earphones to at least block some of it out. I wonder if they have a factory for the heritage mini? Very curious about the smaller/bespoke companies, especially after just hearing about the 'remastered' mini today.
I'm not sure if it's just me, the camera or perhaps the frame rate but something doesn't seem to like fast movement as the panning shots seemed like they lacking something? perhaps detail, making it harder to spot anything or get a good impression of everything that is there unless the panning is done verrry slowly.

Yeah panning was a bit too quick. Wouldn't have been as bad filmed at 50 or 60p but would still probably make your head go a bit funny!
Difficult to remember sometimes in those kinds of places as you're trying to get everything on camera and its all too easy to pan quickly without thinking.

There is lovely footage from a youtuber named LKhorizons and it features Mr Lord Aleem who seems to be exchanging pleasant words with cops at a traffic stop in central London.
