Shmees videos are cringey but nowhere near as bad as most of the people on this forum with their cringeworthy phrases, "pull the trigger" for example.
Exactly. These are people that "fund" their car, then "take delivery" at their "property".
You bought a car and they sent it to your house.

Depending what happens I might take it up to Scotland for something later this year, we shall see. Primarily I've bought it to pootle around London because quite frankly driving a supercar on city streets is often far more hassle than it's worth.
Way back when, they invented something called London Underground. Have a go, you might quite like it. I'll even let you smell my armpit on the 8:30am to The City.GC8 said:
I think that you should get a job.
Like him or not that's a monumentally retarded comment. You're a late 20s single bloke who loves cars. Do you:
a. Get a 9-5 job in an office or
b. Drive supercars around Europe and get invited to manufacturers launches, press days, major motorsport and driving events.
It is a tough one isn't it.

I subscribe to Shmee's channel and some of the other YouTube guys but to be fair I only watch about 10% of his content as it really isn't aimed at the 40+ age group. I prefer the more "journalistic" approach by the likes of Carfection personally.
I can only credit him on what he has done though, he's seen a new market and he's gone in there and created a brand, the same as the young girl who does the makeup vlogs and now has her own merchandise brand. Although YouTube isn't that new it is still evolving and people are discovering how to make popular content and money out of that content.
I think it's good that Schmee produces free to viewer automotive content for a hell of a lot of viewers and hasn't gone down the subscription route that Drive and Motortrend have.
Schmee's content may not be to everyone's taste but I think his success will encourage a lot of other people to produce content and that you/I may like and this can only be a good thing.
As forum of petrolheads we should be encouraging more free content!

All these posters trying to put people like Shmee and other vloggers down is pretty sad. The way we consume media is changing all the time, and often people want to watch a 10min on a topic on youtube rather then standard TV program. Shmee and similar have found a market to share there thoughts, be paid to do it and get to drive around in amazing cars.
Some of the content is cringe or rubbish, but I switch off and watch something else. Fair play to them and good luck in what they do and hopefully they get to do more of what they love.
