Yep! Just came to post the same thing...

Well worded and rounded up. Should shut down most of the questions now.
Just watched it as well. Good video and covered most of the troll questions. No doubt some will come on here and still claim differently.

To be honest, it just came across as a bit of a rant/moan to me. He's never going to please everyone and so having a rant at people asking questions isn't going to stop them from asking the questions. If you flash your wealth through your videos and car collection, I don't think you can expect not to get questions about where your wealth has come from, because those people you are earning money from will also be curious about how they can do the same.

I don't doubt that he doesn't pay list, I just suspect that he carries favour with some manufacturers because of his large audience and is therefore able to get his name down on limited edition cars which will hold their value or increase. Not bad work if you can get it tongue out

I have just been through this thread and it is very interesting indeed.

Tim is clearly a very intelligent, successful guy and has a loyal audience for his material.

Some of the personal comments on here are uncalled for and disgusting and the posters should be ashamed of themselves, if you don't like his videos, don't watch them.

I don't like "game of thrones" which seems to be popular, but you won't find me slating the producers and actors all over the internet, clearly a lot of these personal comments are geared from utter jealousy, it's shocking really.

Its funny how the British mentality has this belief a young person can not do well for themselves and convince themselves that their family must provide the money, having watched his latest video you can see his (understandable) frustration.

This thread just stinks of angry jealous people - quite sad really

If we were in Tim's position, we'd do exactly the same bloody thing....he's living the dream, has a lifestyle and cars better than most people twice his age. Whilst I am absolutely green with envy at the quality of his garage of cars, I dont feel the need to get all angry about it. Fair play to him!

Like most, i wasnt a fan of the early stuff but the latest videos, along with JWW, Cafection & Petrolicious are in a different league to the other stuff out there
I'm not angry about it at all but I think it's about types of personality.

I'm 26 and find the car vlog channels quite boring so although age is a big factor it's not the only one. I intend on keeping my current daily driver as an anonymous / cheap runaround when I do buy a nicer car - for me it's not about showing off. For some people it's about showing off and getting a bit of an ego boost; that's their prerogative! Live and let live etc.

Yes shocking. In summary this thread has only been contributed to by:

1) Haters that are insanely jealous of Schmee and his wonderful life.
2) Weird stalker types that have a massive man-crush on Schmee & friends
3) tts that like to make sweeping generalisations.
4) See 3)

P.S. Game of Thrones is ste.

I don't hate on Shmee and I don't particularly watch his videos because of the content It contains.

Why would I watch videos on supercars and lifestyle when I don't intend to ever have those cars or lifestyle? I'd rather watch EVO or some other channels on real world cars.

Is it though? I certainly don't envy the amount of travel, bland hotels, the endless motorway miles, London traffic, the late nights/early mornings, living life in the 'public' eye, having to listen to Seb Delanney etc etc.

Neither would I want a McLaren. I would have the FF though.

Point is there are lots of things I wouldn't do even if the money was phenomenal. For example, saying Shmeemobile repeatedly. I understand it's purpose, but you literally couldn't pay me enough to broadcast that sort of cheese to any audience.

I'm sure he enjoys it but that doesn't mean everyone else is jealous. Horses for courses.

I think certain things are being misconstrued as jealousy - curiosity, for example, is not jealousy.

Does Tim have a lifestyle that is enviable? In some ways, yes. That has probably been the case all of his life. Does that mean everyone wants to be in his shoes? Probably not. Does his position come with some enviable perks? Apparently so.

Tim has put himself out there and so gets more scrutiny - something of an inevitable consequence. Along with the new forms of media and fandom he's exploring are a level of intrusion in to his life which most modern "celebrities" seem to endure and people are always going to ask questions about someone in his position.

Flemke seems to have a few quid and shares his automotive passion with other people, too. However, he prefers anonymity and the source of his wealth is clearly not social media. No doubt there are plenty of twenty-something people driving around in supercars but they're not on the radar.

He could choose not to answer certain questions if he didn't want to and has evaded certain questions on this thread which haven't been laboured. However, largely he engages and it no doubt suits him to do so as part of the whole brand and is to his credit.

He's put to bed one rumour in this thread, which was, an apparently false, story about McLaren cutting him deals. I've seen and heard that one in several places - to have it quashed, does just that.

However, it's the nature of the beast that people ask questions.

Lol, lay off Shmee. He's alright in my book. Content is a bit drab, but there are some diamonds in the rough. I haven't watched many of his videos recently, but I really enjoyed the GoodWood run in the GTR. But regarding his cars, he explained how he was able to get early access to cars such as the GT4 and the 675LT's by basically saying if you don't ask, you don't get. That's fair enough.

All this aside, what about Salomondrin?! Easily the best car Youtuber. He was/is in the movie industry and you can tell in his videos, plus they are very tongue in cheek. Sure he may be targeting a younger demographic with 'Penis Points' and stuff like that, but he also has something for us car nuts. He's fairly open with his cars and what he does. I think he hinted at a different P1 GTR thing aside from the P1 GTR LM. He said he can't mention it otherwise he will be on bad terms with McLaren, but I think he's saying he's going to get whatever it is. What is your opinion on Salomondrin?

Just watched and absolutely agree, he must get well pissed off with all the abuse he gets and deals with it very well.

Focus Rs would be a great choice
And Tim, you must have spent almost as much on underground parking spaces as cars......smilesmile
Going to be tricky for him this week trying to get into the driving seat of his cars with you kissing his arse.

Easily watchable and engaging. He's the only one I watch. The Banging Gears videos they do are on a par with anything produced by Top Gear in my opinion.
