I just don't get why anyone watches this guff or even more bizarrely why advertisers pay anything for the eyeballs. They all look and sound like public school boys to me which makes me instantly suspicious that they're just running round spending daddy's money. Fair play if it's all paid for just by people watching it though. I guess I'm old. I don't understand the Kardasians and all that drivel either.
TBF Shmee has stated that Daddy hasn't paid for any of his cars.

The other plates are 12 and 16 respectively.

I do around 30k miles a year in my cars, so I see them being used something like:

Mini - just small journeys around London, a bit of fun

Focus RS - mostly living in Scotland where I visit fortnightly

GT4 - epic drives, but possibly being replaced with GT8 in due course

GT8 - the above epic drives

FF - general mileage, visiting family, going to events, travel to Germany, ski trips etc

675LT Spider - special occasions, shipping out to fun driving roads elsewhere, track days

AMG GT R - I want to use this for serious road trip mileage, meeting up with LT Spider at the other end and Ford GT should I be so lucky
How much would the total leasing costs be on that collection, over 12 months?

I would doubt anyone with a bit of business sense would HP that many cars. Would be better to try and secure lending from a bank on the whole value of the collection as its going to be way, way cheaper. Looking at c.£1M worth of cars.

I asked about leasing, not hire purchase. As a lot of Tim’s cars magically disappear after 12 months, with no handover video to the new owner, it’s been rumoured leasing might be involved.

I love all these roumours. Why don't you answer a simple question yourself. Who an earth would lease an appreciating asset.

Im guessing this is because most of cars are probably sold through a dealer on an SOR basis.

Someone who couldn’t afford to do it any other way? Why else are supercar lease deals offered?

I love these rumours too.

I can categorically state that not one car I purport to own has anything other than my name on the V5. My 675LT Spider, GT4, Focus RS and Mini are owned outright, the Ferrari FF is on Ferrari finance with a 33% deposit (and I've probably been building equity in it so far with my payments vs the depreciation curve).

The Vantage GT8 is next in and that will be outright; I haven't decided further afield than that yet. Maybe I'll finance the AMG GT R if I don't want to sell anything else and haven't got the available capital, otherwise I'll probably let something go - we shall see.

For what it's worth, my ex-675LT went to a private contact and has done a good few miles already and will be seen again. My ex-650S was very publicly sold (even in a video) via Alastair Bols, a McLaren independent and is regularly at car events in the North. My ex-12C was part-exchanged at McLaren Manchester against my 650S Spider and is now onto another owner and still fairly public with circa 35k miles on it. My ex-R8 was sold to Bespoke VIP rentals, and unfortunately got written off. My ex-V8VR went via a private sale advert on Pistonheads but I have no idea where it is now.

Shmee, ignore them, there really is no need to come on public forums and start telling everyone your private business, it has sod all to do with anyone other than yourself how you fund them and chances are you will only cause more problems for yourself stating things like that ^^, what every you say you will always have someone questioning everything you do, the joys of the internet!

I think it was a good idea put the record straight.
It stops people, making them up with lies etc.
Fair play he found a market, and loves cars makes a career and a living.

It also makes him more accessible to the public. People know about his passion for cars which most of us share on here.Unlike some people on TV that you see from motor programmes.
Some can be right up themselves, they forget where they came from.
Time will tell, hopefully he stays grounded.

Goodluck.

I've nothing but a sneaky admiration and a tiny dose of jealousy for Shmee, all though to be fair I'm better looking and I'm sure I have a bigger cock and balls, over the super car collection, but I'm afraid if he genuinely makes his living from his youtube chanel and is a serious lifestyle journo and nit just a brat showing off (even if hr is) then ignoring the public, even the haters (unless they're very y) isn't possible... He wed himself to the public I'm afraid... Not a bad job I suppose.

I must say, reading Shmee's posts in this thread raises my opinion of him over what I would have if I only saw some videos. Makes me think he's someone I'd rather watch over the other equivalents.

If you flaunt a £1m+ car collection on youtube, but never give any real detail on how you afford it, naturally people are going to ask questions, especially if you come from a very rich family. I was trying to counter that speculation, by working out the cost of finance. Anyway, every time I purchased a packet of Jammy Dodgers or Wagon Wheels, I always felt I was contributing in some small way to Shmee150, but who knows...

That's one of the best rumours, I don't know who started it and nor do I know any members of the former owners of Burton's Biscuit Company. There's a brief history here if it helps: https://www.burtonsbiscuits.com/our-company/our-hi...

Being a YouTuber is like presenting a TV show and owning the business at the same time. If you know what you're doing then like me, even being mediocre on camera, you can string together enough content to support the business and marketing efforts you make behind the scenes. Driving traffic secures ad sales and brand content deals and opens up huge hosts of affiliate scheme options through the sheer volume of numbers you handle. My team now comprises almost 10 people, this is a full operation with 3 guys virtually full time handling our contact with other businesses. I've been through it all many times earlier in the thread but one thing that amazes me is how you see websites out there take guesses at YouTubers' earnings based on averages; now consider somebody who knows what they are doing and trust me you can beat even their top estimates wink
