Oh - maybe everyone has cancelled! No-one would discuss anything less than factory lead-time (12 weeks) a couple of months ago. Odd how they've crept the price up if availability is much better - that's not what you'd expect.

Good car by the way - wife loves hers, although we went for 4Motion and DSG in the end.

If you do get the "Edition" version then it will be a pretty recent build as they've only just switched to that.

Just got an email update saying its in transit to the dealer. Its a 2.0l tdi 150 Match Edition 2WD Manual so not a poverty spec. Nav, keyless entry, dual zone climate, parking sensors, etc.

It is ironic that VAG sales are going up because of this whole thing, I suspect that people would gloss over then using kittens and puppies for the seat material if they can get a fast and blingy one for a low monthly lease payment.

Perhaps instead of buying a German product like an A4, made by a company that have blatantly lied to the consumer (i.e. you) perhaps spend the money on a Jag XE or something else made in this country, if you read the road tests its meant to be better anyway.

I am not immune to a good deal but they would have to be a hell of a lot cheaper than they are to persuade me into one, companies need to be held accountable when they take the piss, not rewarded, how does that reinforce corporate responsibility.

SQ5 for £340 on a 3+35? Unlikely I'd say. Cheapest on CHL is £534, and that's for 10k miles, not 12k. Happy to be proved wrong though...
I can't find one anywhere near £340 either.
I got an email about one this morning at about £380 pm for 8k miles i think. The e-mail was from stable vehicle contracts.

A very good point. We've never been any good at sticking together and helping each other (unless there's a war on). One of the reasons Germany is so strong is that they use German made parts/supplies whereever possible.

Oh yes. All other makers cars are clean & work on perpetual motion.
We all know that they're all at it, just the rest bent the rules in a different way! Still waiting for the mythical bargains on this thread though. Seems a bit made up to me..

The mythical bargains will be just that.

Mythical.

Certainly no Touaregs at £200 per month.

That's still miles off.

1. That's £382 + VAT (£458)
2. It's 6 months up front, not 3.
3. It's a 4 year deal
4. It's 8k miles.

The OP quoted £340 for a 3+35. That's a total cost of £12920 over the term (or £15504 if OP was quoting ex VAT).

This deal is £19557 over 3 years and for only 8k miles pa.
