I had one for a while, great vehicle with a fair turn of speed caught a few boy racers out at the traffic lights too.

I said it last time and I'll say it again - really fancy one of these. Love a homologation special at best, plus it has all those little special trinkets that make it really cool. biggrin

I've just bought one with only 33000 miles fully documented in white......to appear at a Piston Heads meet very soon......
Fab, was lucky enough to drive one of these when they were new. My brother worked for Mitsibishi at the time. Loved every bit of it. It was the gorgeous red. Extremely jealous, you will love it.

It's been serviced 9 times in 20 years.

The description was hilarious.

Met one of these once on the road, started to go past to overtake on a dual carriageway, put his foot down slightly...moral of the story, if you're going to fk about in something you think is a sleeper, make sure you're not fking about with a faster sleeper, as his grin went from wide to, well I couldn't see it.

Kinda cool, but not really.

Forester XT or STI. I've used my XT offroad for shooting and fishing. It has a very capable AWD system, 7" clearance and is lightweight. Combine (in my case) a winter tyre and its been unstoppable in mud and wet fields etc. The STI has less ground clearance but is much tighter all round for the road. Both of mine are north of 300hp and feel fast to me.

I know, she told me that she had seen this 4x4 Mitsubishi that didn`t look like "a normal one", she went on and on about this thing and after showing her photos of loads of different cars I tried a photo of a Pajevo which I was sure it wasn`t, but it was, she asked what price range they were (at the time it was a 1 owner UK car supplied to a British Forces guy in Germany) for £21k I think, she had to have it so I bought the car from Ralliart UK / Xtreme UK in Dudley and the day after I collected it for her I drove it to Val D`Isere because I had already planned to take her previous Range Rover which had been part ex`d for the Pajevo!

So far so good but I need to get some fresh tyes on it as it's quite twitchy so say the least.....but the engine is magnificent....what a noise!

I concluded that this SUV is no mud plugger more an airbourne sand dune flying machine so I put high performance Pirelli Scorpion P Zero's all round it really made a difference in it's handling. Although I put some aftermarket wheels on it.

If you haven't done already check out some of the action photo's of it in the Paris-Dakar circa 1997 a fabulous selection of pictures plus there was the odd video of them in action around 1997-1999
