It doesn't float my boat but I have a neighbour who will lap it up.

I think he's bored of wrapping Conti's, Vantages and Q7's in stupid colours and driving like a tit.

This in 23inch chrome rims is him down to a tee.

As tested...... 'extended paint option'?? Does this mean that the base car has some paint missing that you have to pay extra for??

Whilst I don't like the exterior, I must admit, it looks wonderful on the inside!

In red it looks like a 1950s Routemaster bus.
Made me laugh.
Look, these sorts of vehicles really aren't my thing (not that I could afford one even if they were!) but I am sure they will sell well enough to those lucky people who CAN afford too. I could think of other cars to spend that sort of money on though.

No, the design is genius if you think about it. One of the big markets for this car will be China and sales should be brisk....at which point it will spawn some horrendous (to us) faux version from Geely or the like. And then Bentley will have to try and sue them and the Chinese authorities will say they are totally different and Bentley will lose.
So why not make it impossible for Geely to design a horrid faux-version by doing it from the outset? Simples...

If it keeps Bentley going, then I don't have a problem with it - more money to spend on better cars like the EXP 10.

People who buy these will probably already have a collection of other cars, including harder core stuff like super\hypercars. This will be used as the daily run-around, comfy cruiser or just to show off at the hotspots in town as in certain circles, nothing shouts comfortable wealth like a posh SUV. I can also see these replacing things like the S-class as the default limo of choice for some people.

I can see this being the next car of the family that own the caravan site behind my shop. They have a flying spur just now so it's not too much of a leap.

Plus such an ostentatious display of wealth will be right down their street.

Not what I would choose if I had the money, but then I don't, so maybe I should keep my mouth shut.

The current Bentley Saloons are not lookers. Against that company, it isn't *that* bad.

The Flying Spur looks horribly awkward:

And the Mulsanne (which I actually quite like) is very marmite and 'Gangster', great throw back to old-school style though:

Yes, you are right - and in the case of the Mulsanne, it works.

Bentayga styling simply does not work, it's neither conservative nor ostentatious, it's too ugly to be classy, and too boring to be flashy. It's one of the great terrible designs of the SUV era.

It seems the design team got stuck between designing an SUV for a 'mom' married to a investment banker, taking her kids to school; and designing an SUV for a London geezer who made his money in the property boom. The result is a truly confused design which makes no sense, other than at the level of it having a Bentley badge and thus the associated brand values conferred on the driver.

I think the same about the Flying spur. Tries too hard to be 'family' to the Continental, but just looks ugly. Stuck on front, stuck on rear end.

Agree with this 100%, was expecting something a bit more unique or special looking for £200k's worth of SUV, this is just meh. Yet another triumph of design from VAG, they really must employ some of the most boring people on the planet. rolleyes

What exactly is a 'Sunshine specification'?

Is that fancy wording for a panoramic roof?

Unsurprisingly ghastly.

Good luck to Bentley; if foreigners want to buy Made in GB SUVs at £1/4M a pop then I'm all in favour.
