I like Bentley. I like their racing heritage, and I quite like the idea of the conti GT (never driven one).
I'd like them to do well, and I don't begrudge them a slice of the luxury SUV market - even though I don't really get it.

I would, however, rather be shot in the dick than drive this jewel-encrusted defecation.

Surely anyone who would even vaguely want something like this will buy a Range Rover. Are there really people out there who would forego the capable class of a Rangey, and buy something so tasteless and vulgar?
Sorry but even the Range Rover or "Rangie" as it's now known has lost most of it's class in the last few years IMO. They seem to be the wagon of choice for wannabee gansta's, drug dealers, chavs with money or well-to-do school mums in my neck of the woods and a million miles away from their rifle and tweed country roots these days as evidenced by the number of white Range Rover sports with 22" black wheels.

It's become the "in" thing if you think you are cool and carries more Kudos then a Ferrari in some parts. Even the new money Arabs, Russians and Chinese have cottoned on hence this Bentley being just the next level up in the luxury SUV one-upmanship stakes, it will sell in droves.

Doesn't look that offensive to me (I'm not in a market for one).

What exactly is a 'Sunshine specification'?

Is that fancy wording for a panoramic roof?
Wheelchair access?

(Go to INTERIOR > PACKAGES).

SUNSHINE SPECIFICATION

For customers likely to drive the Bentayga in sunny conditions, the Sunshine Specification includes blinds and double sunvisors to assist with visibility in bright sunlight.

The Sunshine Specification includes:
- Electrically operated blinds for rear side windows
- Double sunvisor

SMOKER'S SPECIFICATION

This package provides front and rear ashtrays and cigar lighters.

I'm personally not a fan of these posh monster truck things, just don't get them.
That said, i do like the interior on this, looks a nice place to be.
The exterior however is absolutely shocking, they really couldn't have made that much worse looking if they tried.

Really like the option of having a steeering wheel. Not sure what extra luxury this gives over the standard steering wheel....

This "crossover" thing has got out of hand . Still I suppose the footballers will love 'em... Personally for £225k I would go Range Rover Sport SVR PLUS a 991 C4S. Each to their own though, "variety" as they say "is.....

You've got a point. Most RR's I see are white and have silly wheels. In a dark colour, with sensible sized wheels, I still think they're pretty tasteful in comparison to the opposition.
I have no need nor desire for an SUV, so it'll never be an issue I'll have to consider.
I'd rather have a van.

Give one to Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum free as a gift and everyone in the UAE and Gulf will be falling over themselves to own one.

That is what Land Rover did with the latest generation Range Rover and it worked a trick.

I suspect this may come across as bitterness and it isn't, people can obviously spend their money as they wish, but I am struggling with a picnic set that cost as much as my fking Golf did.

Who fancies taking it up the ring ?

I simply cannot believe how let down we have been by PH failing miserably to furnish us with this vital information. It is almost like reading my Daily Mail and finding a story lacking in details of what the person concerned's bloody hovvel is worth.

Obviously Breitling's bargain option fake Rolex has a laptimer ?

Love reading all the negative comments and not one bit of constructive criticism. I think it fits the Bentley DNA very well, have any of you stood next to a 1930s Le Mans Bentley? Ettore Bugatti didn't call them the fastest trucks in the world for nothing! So much ignorance on PH these days.

The proportions aren't great, to the extent that it looks like a forester with a body kit or a Chinese copy of itself.

Haven't got the cash but a lotto win wouldn't persuade me either.
