Being pushed back into my seat when i put my foot down. Even if i do have to lift off at 50mph.
If that's what you want a Clio 182 would do that and you'd have change from £2000.

laugh

For some reason I've got this vision of the OP as a cross between Alan Partridge and Gareth from The Office.

I assume you mean the second accord as the one which was linked to a few pages back was sold.

I have spoken to the seller and I am to call sunday morning and if it's available still I will be visiting it then. Yes you'll say I should have gone down in the dark or had time off work but sunday will have to do unfortunately. I realise its a chance.

Why would someone just buy a car if they didn't actually want one at that time? If they are looking they'll have seen what I've seen anyway.

I got a grand Cherokee from Carlisle and I'm from Somerset.

I just decided the night before to bid on it because the winter was coming and it was cheap.

Anything under £2000 your always going to be taking a risk you have to accept that.

The suspense is killing me!

Out of interest why have you bought three cars / why do you need three cars?

Yes but don't want to jinx it.

Several reasons;

I am a car enthusiast. While none of my cars are expensive, they're all different and interesting to me.

I bought a 540 earlier in the year, spent a bit of time making it very nice and now Im a bit precious over it and don't want to cover it in salt and muck, so I bought the Saab to smoke around in for the winter. A bit unecessary perhaps but I intend on keeping the 5 series forever, and now when drive it its a great occasion and I enjoy it more.

Mrs FG's lease ran out and she didn't organise another one quick enough so I found some MG/Rover loveliness for next to nothing.

Step daughters car got written off so bought another run around today (so when I said I bought a car today, I did, but not for me)

If I had the choice/space, I'd probably own more cars to be honest! I suppose what I'm getting at is, sometimes you just have to pull the trigger on it and buy something.

I understand yep.

Do you have the space then for several cars? If you don't mind me asking, do you insure them all separately or on some kind of fleet policy?

I have space for our three yes.

I insure my two cars separately as it works out cheaper, the wife insures her own car.

I am the complete opposite to this, I buy far too quickly on impulse and have done for many a decade. I actually wish I did stop and think if I REALLY want a car and really need a car or bike! I have regretted a few buys, but not many.

I take it he still hasn't bought a car yet while waiting for this precise specification 9-5 Aero Estate (with Black leather, Beige is unacceptable) that's an absolute Gem that no one else has been to look at in the week that it's taking him to go and look at it?

That was so last year. I'm looking at 9-3's and Honda's now.
