I think I know the answer to this. Take your time and get the right car, don't rush it and when you are ready to buy you will be able to get a nice base model Ford Mondeo Mark 5 around 15 years old...

I registered my interest with this chap about this nice looking 9-5 estate.

I'd of been and picked it up but I'm away at the moment and not sure how long for. It's £500, but I don't think thats suspicious, have a read of the thread. The same guy has sold a Lexus to another forum member and he's recommended him as a seller.

Black leather, nice wheels, new MOT and the history of MOT's online looks good.

What a bargain, plenty of change for a sump drop just to be safe, a good service and whatever else.

Just incase you're interested.... I've already picked up an estate for my Mrs recently so I don't actually need it... But at 500 quid though it's a bargain and very tempting.

Got there and the climate control only goes up in 1 degree increments instead of .5 so it's no good

How hard can it be to buy a car. I know you have to put the mileage in with any car but when youre looking at 2k cars, not many are going to be perfect

It was a low mileage ex-demo when he went to look at it, by the time he made his mind up it had done 125,000 miles

Sod's law he will.

I'm looking forward to the 'what garage' thread the first time it lets him down.

You've had plenty of nice comments, helpful comments and load of car suggestions. Now you're getting frustrated and exasperated comments because (presumably) you STILL haven't picked a suitable car out of the 100000 or so available for sale.

It's not unreasonable.

I have said thank you to the forum for the advice I have received. Its been taken on board and I'm looking. There is no need for anyone to say that they hope I 'get stitched up with a pile of st'.

You need to have thicker skin than that, there's plenty of not nice people out there on the interweb.

I hope I didn't hurt your feelings smile

I am a fan of Honda's in general and we have an estate car at the moment.
Last time we were looking, that shape of Accord estate never appealed to me really. Just don't like the vertical back end.
