Such is the thrust or these I think you'd be able to perform the £20 note on the dash trick
Massive diversion off topic, but that old story is complete bs, and always makes me laugh. Considering we're only talking about 1.5G even in a Bugatti Veyron, if you're unable to pull a £20 note off the dashboard, then general day to day tasks like picking things up and getting out of bed must be impossible for you! I suspect the truth of the old Shelby story was that the uninitiated were so shocked by the acceleration they forgot about the bill. Stick anyone who was used to it in their and I suspect they'd do it no problem!Slow said:

I guess there will always be some generalisations made with regards to the 'class' of the driver, but I can honestly say if I could afford one of these I would have one. And take great pleasure in not giving a flying chaucer about what anyone else thought.

Erm, the OP lost me in the vehicle description at:- "plus £450 for Solar Attenuating Windscreen with Laminated Hydrophobic Front".....
I realize that's not Dan Trent speaking but rather the JLR marketing people.
Could we ask JLR (politely) to translate this into English for those of us in the proletariat??

Reactalight glass, like the shades tached, wine bar dwelling French perverts loved in the 70s and the outer laminate layer has a grease-like water repellant quality like a Spaniard. I realize that's not Dan Trent speaking but rather the JLR marketing people.

Should have just called it the Euro option.
I'd be interested in hearing about what faults it develops over the next few months.
Although press cars are built rather well it'll still develop a variety of faults. You'll get very familiar with the little yellow (or red) triangle on the dash.
When I had the new FFRR it was ultimately a miserable experience, so many issues caused by sub-standard components, which even the dealer's mechanic (yes, as an owner you get to know the entire team at the dealership including the Service Technicians themselves) blamed on Indian parts.
It wasn't that it was poorly designed, nor put together badly, it just had sub-standard parts.
