Problem is lots wont use or see PH's forums or others so he'll continue. Write a google review is always a good idea for others to see however

How is it not just a blatant crime? Do people think everyone gets paid out eventually, hence there being no crime, or what?

I imagine it's not a crime until there's no cash left to pay the last seller?

I cant see how someone that has a business premises, with opening hours, and flash cars, can get away with this and scam so many people?

Im not saying that everyone is a powerfully built director cage fighter nor am I suggesting that people should have gone down and been violent.

Even the gentlest of people would surely rock up unannounced, with a thermos flask of coffee, sit down in the front of the showroom and refuse to leave till money is in the bank.
Ask the guys who did that recently with another dodgy dealer in Bolton how they got on.

Amazed when I saw this, he got me with his scam.

I gave him my SLK55AMG to sell and I had a written contract that I would get my agreed money before the car was released to any buyer.

A month later I saw my car being advertised on PH by a high end dealer in the north. I rang them and they said yes they had it and it was for sale!!!

So rang Williams and he said he still had it in the showroom with no interest????

Then it still took me a month to get the money, with bounced cheques etc etc.

Such a shame, seamed like a nice guy with a good business.

The effort of lying to everyone must be very stressful....

I wonder if he has any windows left in his showroom this morning!!!

With PH so hot on naming and shaming they should be pulling his ads

The guy is clearly dishonest, but you have to be mad to hand your car over on SOR basis.

If they dont have the money to buy your car outright walk away.

There have been several threads where SOR has gone all wrong - most recently this week where the dealer has gone bust.

He's had a lot of nice 'personal' cars over the years and had every Ferrari V8 Spider since the 355.

He only seems to drive them around town and Cardiff Bay when the sun is out though.
And in first gear only, revving as much as possible to get maximum attention. Such a pathetic man.

"He seemed such a nice guy" well that's a surprise, would you have trusted him if he'd come across as a sheister? Is that not surely the first prerequisite of a con artist?

Most of the people under say 40 with flash cars I've heard of (unless inheritance or something) often turn out to have been dodgy.

That currency trader Alex hope who had a Ferrari - dodgy
This bloke -dodgy
In my home town it's known that many of the people with the aventadors and so on have no obvious source of income other than pharmaceuticals

I would have thought the proceeds of crime act would have done more to stop this.

Eg 'hi mr aventador owner, please can you sit down with us. Your tax return shows you earn £22k pa yet you live in a £2m house and are managing to pay mortgage payments of £10k per month and have 6 cars on your driveway. Please prove to us how you pay for this'.

Seems like now is a good time to repeat Henry's wise words on SOR with dealers.

Keep smiling. wink

Funny how he has cash flow problems yet is still doing well selling his top end cars.

Mind you that 2004 civic sport with 105k on for £2995 shows he is a dreamer !

Paid not much more than that 6 years ago for a lower mileage Type S from a dealer.

Good article that. I'm a dealer. I have a few SOR cars in at the moment mainly from previous customers or through friends but most of my stock is my own.

If you want to do SOR it can work well but obviously do the research! One good tip is to check on companycheck see how much money they have kicking about. I was staggered to see a local Porsche specialist near me has about 40k kicking about in the company but a pitch of £400,000 of cars evidently all on SOR.
