Just waiting for the first of five trains to go and collect a car. Anyone else doing similar today? smile

Nope - just about to wash this one

Then take it for the last drive of the year if they start salting the roads anytime soon

I'll probably have to wash it again when I get home!!

So having derailed the thread - what are you collecting - pics?

I'd get a mate to give you a lift rather than five trains!

It'll be a proper trip if one of those trains is the Eurostar.

I've done it a few times. Train down and drive back up. Always a good day, if a little tiring.

From Glasgow I've been to
Leicester
Loughborough
Luton
Manchester
Blackpool

Love a wee day out to go buy a car.

Sorry, completely forgot I'd started this thread, been a busy day smile

Yep seven hour round trip but I've got my new-to-me 2010 Clio 200 sat on the drive. Completely over the moon with it. It;s a track toy so it's caged, got a quaife diff, megane turbo engine in it, tons of other mods. It's epic.

Living in Inverness everything is rotten so only ever bought 1 car up here. However my most recent car, a rusty e30, was in norfolk. Left at 7pm, arrived at 7am, loaded car and went home. Finally got in around 8/9pm. 1100 miles with a trailer in 24 hours... loved it.

Pictures? Sounds an animal.

As it goes I was up at 630 this morning and came back with this-

Five hour trip there and back, got plenty of thumbs up and people asking about it.

Had one as my first car and always said I would have another, thing is they are starting to command big money so bit the bullet and got one, my sons loves it.

One pic I grabbed from the advert, I'll take some more and start a RR thread on it in the next few days.

I'll remove the Forge sticker as it's not quite to my tastes, other than that I can't think of a thing I want to change!

I've one a few runs to Vienna and Germany near the Czech border a few times. Married with kids now means those trips are long gone!

It's a factory Renault colour, Storm Grey. Very rare, which I can completely understand because if you were looking at a sample of it or a pic in a brochure I think it would look naff. Love it in the flesh though.
